What movies have you tested with it? Or you're just trying Hell Freezes Over only?

Have listened to Hell Freezes Over some on dvd and watched a bit of Ninja Assassin on BR as well. Like I said, got some more tweaking to do before rending my final decision. Have observed some things that I like, as well as, things that I didn't. Will share that very soon. Hopefully, within the next few days or perhaps later in the week. Have a very busy week ahead. BTW, AC/DC's Back In Black on CD is ALWAYS part of my reference material as is Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves soundtrack on CD. More to come!

Cheers,

Phil

Take the TV off and do what I suggested and lift it a little. It takes time to get the center just right. You need a person with a good voice. Don't go off on only Aud only go with what you want, so mess around with the center volume and positioning.

Yes Joe, this is very good advice. Will try to get all of this done in the next few days. Was not able to do much today because my apartment manager's brother was here. He has been very sick and did not want to disturb him. So, I kind of chilled today for the most part. Thanks for the tip! Have a great night.

Phil

The table in the middle with all that stash on and around it - is also effecting the
center speaker radiation.

Many of us when listening to music, will cut the center off.

That is another very good point Zieg. Will move the candies out of the way before doing any new listening. That is why I am in no rush to judgement. It is not placed optimally either. Working on it....LOL!!! It did sound a bit stressed when keeping up with the 530's. The thing is though, I do NOT listen at reference levels. That is why I need more time with it before making a final decision.

Zieg, the table w/all of the candy bars is gone! I have also built a small stand that (1) raises my TV up higher AND allows my 520c to be placed in such a way that it does NOT block my view. Been wanting my TV to be up a bit higher so it merely is a win/win for me. Also, I bought a set of large wedge shaped door stoppers that allow me to aim the 520c much closer to ear level. Here are some pics!

Very, VERY NICE!!! Go ahead and start building/painting a bigger box for your 65" TV.

Just kidding. ;)
Thanks for the compliments. Do feel like that I am getting there and making some progress. The mini-stand did not turn out too bad. As I have said before, I am certainly not a carpenter. Heck, if I get to where I can afford a 65" 4K TV, then I will just buy a new stand altogether. However, that may be a good while.....LOL!!!

Those are big door wedges!
Yeah, a bit bigger than I have seen elsewhere. They actually are working quite well. The angle keeps the back of my 520c off of my mini-stand. That is good given that the 520c does have a rear port. Everything sounds very cohesive as a result.

Cheers,

Phil
