Which Marantz are you using? I've seen another reference to receivers that have more channels than they amplify, but which ones are they and how can you determine that? Easiest way is to visit the manufacturers site. Sometimes you have to dig a little, but the information should be in there. Or crutchfield even. They have easy to read spec lists. I use a Marantz sr6012 plus a Yamaha pro amp to run my mains.
