I'd be very very very concerned what Trump will do these next two months to keep his get-out-of-jail card. If you believe like I do he's an ultra-narcissist, there's nothing the man won't do. Scary times.

Nothing Trump does surprises me. I am shocked at the number of people in power that support his assault on American institutions...

Which is more important, the material well being of an individual or the strength of the country?

Is it true that every kingdom that is divided against itself is brought to desolation?

Is the U.S. more unified now than it was 4 years ago?

I've probably been been better off at the end of every 4 year presidential term since Reagan.

Which reminds me of Reagan's election eve address:

I've seen fewer than more comments about this impending madness so I've been suspecting the fewer are spreading this particularly....but we are capable of much idiocy and chaos no doubt....just check the last four years. Maybe its just bone spurs. Or identifying their "enemies".

The man is delusional if he thinks he has the backing of the top brass of the military and it’s a mixed bag with the common soldier. This is the man after all who called them ‘suckers & losers’.

Initially in 2017 they were happy as punch when he increased defense spending but soon realized he was bat-$hit crazy and had no respect for them whatsoever after Mattis, Tillerson and the generals tried to explain to him why overseas bases were a bargain in protecting the USA.

A great book came out at the beginning of this year, A Very Stable Genius: Donald J. Trump's Testing of America, which goes into greater detail about Trump’s relationship with the military in the last 3 years. He called the generals, right to their face, ‘you're all a bunch of losers’ at one meeting.

What scares me right now is the gossip coming out of the White House and the Pentagon, after the Esper firing, that he wants to recall all the troops in the Middle East, Africa, etc., by Christmas, to bolster his legacy as he exits the scene of his crimes.

The financial cost, the logistics, the message to our allies, who will literally be left ‘holding the bag’ till Biden takes over, is incalculable, never mind the mischief our main enemies right now (North Korea, China, Russia & Iran) could seek to exploit. Hopefully it’s just that ... ‘gossip’.

As dangerous as he’s been to our republican democracy in the last 4 years, I fear he could be even more dangerous in the next 2 + months.

If this gossip is true, I think the military for the first time in US history, may outright ignore his orders, further straining the long observed civilian/military relationship in this country, where they have stayed apolitical since the Revolutionary War vs. England, the founding of our country and up until now.
Trump is replacing existing Pentagon brass with loyalists. Hopefully his motivation is nothing more than an infantile need to "settle the score."

False equivalence. I've never seen a politician with the degree of narcissism Trump has. It is the smug arrogance by Pompeo addressing the press that provides little reason for me to believe they wouldn't.

Also, Barr is pushing this, not based on any actual evidence of voter tampering, but in legal terms an "irregularity."

In very different circumstances where it came down to one state and and a few hundred votes+ for Bush. In this case there are multiple states where Biden is leading with many thousands of votes.
