Floorstanding or bookshelf?

Hello,

I plan to upgrade from an old pair of B&W DM602 to B&W 702 (floor standing) or 705 (bookshelf), and have a choice between two rooms to use:

  • 7.96' (H) x 13.57' (W) x 19.36'(L) - Room 1 (2091 cuft), or
  • 10' (H) x 13' (W) x 17.5' (L) - Room 2 (2275 cuft).
Room 1 is closer to the Golden Ratio (8.39' x 13.57' x 21.96') than Room 2. I really like the sound of 702s, but would they be to large for any of the two rooms?

Thanks!
