Question 1:
What are the SVS Bill of Rights and which is your favorite?

The Bill of Rights is the promise of a great customer experience (in every conceivable way) punctuated by SVS clearly believing in and backing their products.

My personal favorite is #7 which gives me reassurance that I am never going to be stuck with tech that is on its way to being replaced.

Question 2:
What is the next product you would like to see from SVS? Describe it in as much detail as you like, and let us know what it should cost.

Something slightly lower end in the ~$500 range. I feel like this is a sort of magic number starting point for people entering the market for a home audio system.

Question 3:
What do you look for in a great subwoofer?

I am constantly searching for the spot where price and performance meet to accommodate my needs. While I do have high expectations of quality, it is also extremely important to me to feel like I am getting a good value out of the money spent. In this sense, I think SVS is doing an incredible job.

Question 1:
What are the SVS Bill of Rights and which is your favorite?
The SVS Bill of Rights are a set of assurances by SVS that the customer will be beyond satisfied toward their products. The Bill of Rights also offers customers great flexibility.

My favorite would have to be the 90-day defective exchange guarantee. This ensures that no matter the circumstances (within 90 days) the customer will always have a product that is up to expectations.

Question 2:
What is the next product you would like to see from SVS? Describe it in as much detail as you like, and let us know what it should cost.

I would like to see a subwoofer in the $300-$400 price range that out-performs subwoofers of other brands in the class.

Question 3:
What do you look for in a great subwoofer?

I look for ones that are capable of producing ~20Hz accurately and without distortion. I also look for subs that suit my needs for music as well as movies/gaming.

SVS Contest

1.) The SVS Bill of Rights is a reminder to the consumer that their satisfaction is the most important part of the SVS business model. It reassures the consumer that SVS understands that it’s not just how deep the bass goes, how reliable the product is, or how competitive the price point, but whether or not they are creating a customer for life.
My favorite is # 11 – Total After Purchase Support. I too often find that once a particular company has my money, and I have their product, that no further interaction is expected/wanted. With SVS, I can be assured that when my product arrives, I will have the support needed to extract every bit of enjoyment possible from my new purchase.

2.) I think SVS’s initial price points can be a bit intimidating to a novice to quality audio. I believe a line of products below the NSD model line (an SB8-X or the return of a PB10-X etc.) starting in the $400 range would open the door to people with more limited finances/less demanding audio standards. Of course, SVS would have to carefully weigh the compromises needed to hit these prices in order to maintain its lofty standards.

3.) A great subwoofer should give me confidence that I’m getting excellent performance per dollar, play tight, controlled, tuneful bass over a broad range of frequencies, while being backed by a warranty that shows the manufacturer’s confidence in the quality of its product.

Please to be entering me in your contest. :D My PB12-NSD is fantastic. But it's lonely and needs a friend. ;)

Question 1:
What are the SVS Bill of Rights[/URL] and which is your favorite?
The SVS Bills of Rights is SVS's pledge that I will have the best experience
thanks to the finest audio products in the world and world class customer service and support. ;)

My favorite:

PROMISE #8...
5-YEAR UNCONDITIONAL WARRANTY
SVS offers the industry's most comprehensive warranty on all our products.
SVS warrants of all its products to be free from defects in workmanship for
5 years from date of purchase.

(although I have to admit I'm a big fan of #4 as well... ok, all of them, actually!)

Question 2:
What is the next product you would like to see from SVS? Describe it in as much detail as you like, and let us know what it should cost.
Since I don't have a receiver with Audyssey XT32, and the AS-EQ1 Subwoofer EQ is discontinued, I sure would like to see a successor product that does the same thing (although I only need to EQ 2 subs for now) ... perhaps in the $300 or so range?

Question 3:
What do you look for in a great subwoofer?
Well, since we're talking GREAT: Punch in the gut power. Low, low, low extension. Perfect accuracy. Power to spare. Compact size. Low price. You know, everything. ;)

1. My favorite bill of right promise is definitely #6, trade up policy. So when that new sub comes out I can get the new new one.

2. Although my next SVS sub will be more expensive, I think there should be a new 10" $500 "entry level" sub for those just getting into home theater.

3. I look for a flat frequency response, the room can be fixed with some acoustic panels and digital EQ.

1) Promises SVS Sound is guaranteeing, to you the customer. #8

2) I'm thinking out of the box, so how about a soundbar & subwoofer package, for the people/rooms that do not want multiple speakers, but still want great sound, and a sub that digs low? Combine a soundbar & a sb12 for those compact area's/rooms. Price range, maybe somewhere between $800-1000 range??

3) Deep Low extension, plays flat to 20hz, Positive feedback from owners/community, exceptional customer service....

  1. A set of promises to customers. They're all good but it's probably a toss up between the warranty and the trade up policy for me.
  2. I've not heard an SVS sub, so I honestly can't say what I would like to see other than your existing products, but a discount for buying two would be nice.
  3. Extension at or below 20hz, enough power to drive it properly, and tight bass without a lot of boominess.

A set of promises and guarantees about the products. #9 is my favorite. No sense in having free shipping or a warranty if the product is terrible!

A small, very compact subwoofer for nearfield/desk listening. Between $200 and $400, with an 8-10" driver

Question 1:
What are the SVS Bill of Rights and which is your favorite?
The SVS Bill of Rights is a promise to provide the customer with an awesome buying and ownership experience. The promises typically go above and beyond the industry standard and add value to the customer. I have several that I really appreciate, but I feel that Promise #6 is one that stands out. The one year upgrade window gives the customer freedom to try the product, and if they are somehow left wanting more bass, they can upgrade to a meaner sub. This is really cool to me.

Question 2:
What is the next product you would like to see from SVS? Describe it in as much detail as you like, and let us know what it should cost.
I feel that SVS has kind of left behind the entry level sub market, and that they need to return there. My first sub was a $429 PB10-NSD, which I still own, and if I was currently on the market with the same budget I wouldn't be able to afford the lowest priced SVS offerings now. I would once again like to see a ported 10-12 inch sub in the ~$500 range that would allow entry into the SVS product family at an affordable price point.

Question 3:
What do you look for in a great subwoofer?
I look for a sub that meets what the product specs say it does. If the specs say it has a flat response and extension down to 20 hz, it better do that. I look for a sub that has a reputable company standing behind it that understands that answering the phone or returning an email mean the difference between a sale and a person going to look elsewhere. I probably see the looks of the subwoofer as the least important thing to me, but this is likely because I'm at a point in my life where I don't care how my sub looks. I want it to be mean and fill my room with clear bass.

Question 1:
What are the SVS Bill of Rights and which is your favorite?
A set of promises and guarantees made by SVS to the customer. #5 seems to re-encompass many other warranties with the 5 year Unconditional Warranty.

Question 2:
What is the next product you would like to see from SVS? Describe it in as much detail as you like, and let us know what it should cost.
I think it would be interesting the match a smaller driver/amplifier with a higher order enclosure. Perhaps look at taking an 8" or 10" with around 300 watts and marry it with a gorgeously fine tuned TQWP or rear loading horn. It would provide excellent "green" efficiency as well as a wonderful talking piece as to why one's 8"/10" SVS subwoofer out-performs mainstream 15"/18" products. Cost wise, I would price it comparable or slightly under the mainsteam products it is "beating", whether thats $700, $1400, or $2000. A product that outperforms with less and costing less....Bingo!

Question 3:
What do you look for in a great subwoofer?
I will assume we are talking about a finished product, and not just the driver (because a subwoofer would truly just be the driver). In a finished product, end evaluation compares price versus performance. I do not think a finished product necessarily has to entice customers with beauty/glamour/finish, but it will not take away from it. Personally, I love various loudspeaker technologies; knowing a speaker utilizes XBL^2 technology (among/along with other advancements etc) will push the product over the edge for me

Question 1:
What are the SVS Bill of Rights and which is your favorite?
Favorite is the 45 day satisfaction guarantee. This is must for internet based stores. Definitely takes the risk out trying the product. I like the trade-up right, but the favorite is still the 45 day satisfaction.

Question 2:
What is the next product you would like to see from SVS? Describe it in as much detail as you like, and let us know what it should cost.
Tough question. The layout of my room means I'm in a 3.1 system because it does not lend itself to running wires to grow to a 5.1 or greater system. So self-powered speakers would help. Target price around $200-250 per pair.

Question 3:
What do you look for in a great subwoofer?
Clear, crisp sound the does not get all muddy. Solid bass tones, low frequency range... Affordable price.

1: #7 is nice

2: A sealed sub between the SB12-NSD and SB13-Plus. Price would be between the two. Basically a "real" Plus model. The SB13-Plus is an Ultra type driver with the Ultra AMP.

3: Price performance. With ID subs, the sub should deliver as stated with no hand waving statements.
