1) No. DVI right now.
2) Denon receiver has HDMI ins/outs. Not being used.
3) Eventually, but probably not for the next 5 years because my equipment is only 2 years old or less.
4) Newer audio/video formats. But the old stuff already looks and sounds pretty damn good.

yes

2) What devices you have use HDMI? Do they work well together?
Partially - I'm using DVI - HDMI from my HD set-top-box to my new DLP.
So far the STB and the DLP work great. Picture quality improved over component connections.

3) If you are not currently using it, are you planning to upgrade? Why or why not?
When I upgrade the A/V receiver, I'll be looking for HDMI connections.

4) What do you think is the most exciting feature of HDMI 1.3?
Future upgrades in the same physical format and on a non-technical note - having fewer types of interconnects (coax & toslink)

We may be getting an HDTV this summer, and so DVD players with HDMI etc will surely be soon to follow.

4) What do you think is the most exciting feature of HDMI 1.3?
it continues the tradition of numbered alphabet soup devised in such a manner that the average consumer can't make sense of it. Also, I don't have enough different kinds of cables yet.

1) Are you currently using HDMI?
yes

2) What devices you have use HDMI? Do they work well together?
standard def dvd -> denon receiver -> upconvert to sony hdtv
yes

3) If you are not currently using it, are you planning to upgrade? Why or why not?
Only upgrades I'm waiting for are to get an external HDTV tuner w/ HDMI preferably (or DVI if it's a good deal $ wise) and I hope to upgrade to a HD DVD/Blu-Ray universal player once the price comes down to around $500, until then, I'll stick to my regular DVD's since few new movies are coming out that I care to own.

4) What do you think is the most exciting feature of HDMI 1.3?
I'm an audioholics much more than a videoholics, so any expanded audio capabilites.

1. No, I'm not using HDMI.

2. Pio Elite 72TXV receiver and Sony KD-XS955 TV. They work fine together, but since the TV is analog, I get a better picture through component.

3. I'll upgrade when something requires HDMI or I get an HD-DVD/Blu-Ray player.

4. Deep color.
