I saw that the new pre/pro, now dubbed the UMC-1 is probably coming out in June at the earliest. They are using new model names. The ones starting with U are the Ultras which is their value line and X for their top end line. The only difference I remember reading about is XLR connectors on the X line.
Do Emotiva pre/pros have a phono stage? A lack of one would be a deal breaker for me now even though I'll probably end up buying a fancy MC stage down the road. I'm planning to replace my aging receiver a few months down the road and so far the Yamaha RX-V863 is the best I can come up with for what I want though I haven't ruled out the 1800.
