I would see it in Theaters. I see everything in theaters though, so you'd have to judge for yourself.Sooo....
Are you recommending people go see it in the theaters or wait for it to come out on dvd/bd?

I thought it was much less. By the end of Cloverfield I was a little rattled by the video, not at all by this one.Okay, I heard about the "shaky camera work" similar to Cloverfield.
How bad is it?
That is what I saw in it too....
Plus the movie also made humans the bad guys. Which is the reality of life.
Couldn't put it better myself. That is what I saw in it too.
District 9 and Children of Men? Interesting. I did love both. Both depict the reaction to a severe cultural shock in a very dark way. in D9, though, I really liked how, as the movie moved on, you might have changed your idea on who should survive. I thought the most haunting thing about D9 was how some of the important things that happen occur in the edges of your visual field. That gave the film a great sense of realism and unpredictability. This was my favorite sci-fi flick in quite a while.Great movie, very disturbing/uncomfortable with great use of special effects and CGI throughout.
It's indeed refreshing to see a movie with both action and lots of food for thought. It's probably the best movie I've seen in the genre since Children of Men, so if you thought that was worth seeing on the big screen then get out there and see it!
I didn't quite understand where all the alien weapons were coming from, but that minor plot hole certainly didn't ruin my enjoyment of the film.

It makes all humans look bad. I mean the South Africans are experimenting on the aliens. People get so sensitive." ABUJA, Nigeria — One of the summer's biggest blockbusters — a sci-fi morality tale about aliens and apartheid — is not welcome in Nigeria because of its portrayal of Nigerians as gangsters and cannibals, Nigeria's information minister said Saturday.
Information Minister Dora Akunyili has asked movie houses in the capital of Abuja to stop screening "District 9" because the South Africa-based sci-fi movie about aliens and discrimination makes Nigerians look bad."
Yeah, right... whatever... Take it up with South Africa.
Who the hell's Morgan Fox?That's why all the characters should be White & sexy, and the setting should be in USA (California, Texas, New York). Then no one will get sensitive and complain about racism or whatever.
By the way, I really did not like this movie at all - not for any political or ethical reasons or anything like that.
I just didn't like it because there were no sexy White babes (Morgan Fox) + fast and expensive cars & aircrafts.![]()
