the Yamaha options seems interesting but each have a con

A-S300 w/ subout but no preouts
A-S500 w/ subout but no preouts
A-S700 no subout no preout?

i'm just not sure if the stereo receivers below have that "tik" delay at power up
R-S300 w/ subout but no preouts
R-S500 w/ subout but no preouts
R-S700 with preout and subout

that sherwood looks nice but is probably only available in NA.

This soloist_integrated is a great little performer. I have owned a few Belles amps in the past, and I do regret selling them. These are world class amps.

i think it's final that i can't have any tall units ... i plan to do something like this: but not as high

a quick google sketch on what i want, 4.75" extra elevation on my monitor with space for an integrated amp at the bottom. this pretty much eliminates all the yamahas and receivers.

Unfortunately the Bryston is more like $3000.

Cambridge Audio, Creek, Music Hall, Rega all have good silver integrated amps. I think for the pre outs you have to go up from the bottom of their lines, which with the Creek and Rega will be more than the others. The tricky part will be height, you want something pretty short to leave enough ventilation room.

Don't think there's a dramatic difference between them and the Rotels.

I think this is too tall

Mike is in the Philippines, so a lot of what you all consider to be easily available will not be so in his case.

You should look at chip amps. They are very small and quite capable for your setup.

Cambridge Audio, Creek, NuForce and Rega all have distributors listed in the philippines.
