Just capitalism. You should be familiar with that in your industry, no?That's just pure evil then.

The update 2.70 did include eARC for RXA770 but I won’t need that feature at this point. The others I have just got bug fixes. The newer xx80 models will get Airplay2 I believe. So eARC allows more than DD+ such as 7.1 Dolby TrueHD from the TV.
Not sure what TV has any App with Dolby TrueHD or DTSHD MA. Do you know any?
Does eARC have other advantages over regular ARC?
I think my RXA770 is getting eARC in an update this year, but not my RXA2060 or RXV681.
As long as they don't cost too much money, they should be fine.Anyone have experience with Canare 4s11 speaker wire? I’m going to replace my current wires with a cleaner setup.
I haven't thought about it.Just capitalism. You should be familiar with that in your industry, no?
No, I don't have experience with Canare speaker wire, but I know that they manufacture good quality products. Their cables are widely used in the pro audio industry.Anyone have experience with Canare 4s11 speaker wire? I’m going to replace my current wires with a cleaner setup.
Well, for 16 feet it would be 26 bucks. Which is all i need. It’s. 4 conductor in a jacket for bi amping. 14awg. I’m just trying to tidy up and organize my wiring. As long as they don't cost too much money, they should be fine.
Most of us don't even bother talking about speaker wires since they are just wires.
Oh I don't do any of that passive bi-amp.Well, for 16 feet it would be 26 bucks. Which is all i need. It’s. 4 conductor in a jacket for bi amping. 14awg. I’m just trying to tidy up and organize my wiring.
I've got to 8 foot runs of 12awg install gear wire.Oh I don't do any of that passive bi-amp.
I've read that some time ago, very good read! No, I don't have experience with Canare speaker wire, but I know that they manufacture good quality products. Their cables are widely used in the pro audio industry.
However, for speaker cables, its the gauge that counts and the quality of the conducting metal used. Monoprice oxygen free copper speaker wire is cheaper and does the job as well. This is what I use and I wouldn't waste money on more expensive stuff simply because there is no audible difference for wires of identical conductor type, gauge size and length. It's impossible to have a difference in performance. The laws of physics control the whole aspects of audio reproduction.
For additional info on speaker cable, here is a good link:

If it's cheaper in your situation, then go for the Canare brand.I've read that some time ago, very good read!
However; the problem with monoprice is that the gauge I'm currently running is 12AWG. That forces me to buy 100 foot spool. which is overkill for my needs. The 4 conductor wire of that wire would run me 118 dollars for only needing 16 feet.
I could get 16 feet of the canare for 26 bucks and swap my banana plugs over.
I'm mainly wanting to do this to tidy up my wiring.
Aren't you connected with our lovely pharmaceutical industry and are familiar with their friendly pricing?I haven't thought about it.
Do you have an example?
I've seen drugs that cost $100,000 per dose. But I don't ever think about capitalism.Aren't you connected with our lovely pharmaceutical industry and are familiar with their friendly pricing?
I've seen drugs that cost $100,000 per dose. But I don't ever think about capitalism.
Actually there are gene therapies that cost over a million dollars for a single-dose cure. But they are worth every penny since they cure some fatal genetic defects.
If it is rated as an OFC wire, it should perform as well. If not, it will oxidize faster and some of those non-OFC wires turn green after only several years. That happened to one of my friends, not him but the wire.I went to Lowe’s and purchased southwire royal 12/4 stranded wire. Should work as good as canare shouldn’t it?
Yeah for parents with infants who aren't expected to live past 2 or 3 years old, it's a chance they are probably willing to take.IF it works, but if it doesn’t YOU ARE DEAD. No guarantee!
It doesn’t say on the cable itself. If it is rated as an OFC wire, it should perform as well. If not, it will oxidize faster and some of those non-OFC wires turn green after only several years. That happened to one of my friends, not him but the wire.![]()
They are likely ETP (99.9% copper, .04% oxygen min spec) vs OFC (99.99% copper, .0005 % oxygen min spec). Don't worry about it.It doesn’t say on the cable itself.
When cut it looks like solid strands of copper. Same as the speaker wire i have now.
How could i really tell?
