Denon AVR speakers setting

I don't rely on my Denon to auto adjust for speaker crossovers. In my environment, I found taking the lowest published frequency response of each speaker, and adjust 10 -20Hz higher, I get my best 5.1 sound. Also, my one sub, I let the Denon do its auto adjust to 120HZ. I let the Denon set the distances, etc.

I have tried the 80HZ for the 5 speakers, but not the same for my ears. For me Audyssey, is somewhat okay, w/o going the SPL route...etc.
The Denon merely defaults to 120 hz for the LPF of LFE, the limit of the normal content, but its not a crossover in any case.

The Denon acts as a high-pass filter, and a crossover section limiting lower frequencies going to a tweeter or a mid-range driver is also a high-pass filter.

Eh? Yes, the Denon uses high pass filters in the crossovers if employed. The low pass filter is that preventing the lowest frequencies from going to the speaker when the crossovers are employed, though. Has nothing to do with my point in any case.
