I have to say this is a hell of a deal if you're into powercords. I am using 2 of these on my amps and they do cost a little more. I would have went for these ($41.00 seems to me like a good deal). The reason I went for a powercord of this caliber is because my amp needs to draw 5800 Watts at max. power output.

What gauge equivalent is it? 4ga? How about that 15A plug?

Wow that's 48 amps!
How many separate circuits is that?

Before the thread gets closed I just want to say the Cold Cranking Amps in the dynamic peaks is what I want engineers considering at -20 degrees Celsius. :D

Yeah, I wish that they would focus more on that stuff. I upgraded my amp's liquid cooling system to be compatible with antifreeze, but that does me no good if I can't get that bad boy started at cold temps.

Audioholics - won't pay to heat their homes, but they'll pay to keep those amps running.

I did have the amp changed over to 220 Volts, so I don't use that powercord anymore. 30 amp breaker is what I am using. The reason for replacing the original cord was that it got so hot I thought that it could catch on fire. It was more for safety than anything else. As for sound quality I can't tell the any difference.

You need to get a heater and then you don't need to worry about -20 C :D
