Connecting another companies subwoofer with Bose double cube speakers

A budget is a good question. The idea that I need to replace my home theater system is new. I hadn't saved for that. But when I saw the price of the SVS SB-3000 ($1200) I thought I would splurge and get it for the awesome bass. Now with the thought of a whole series of equipment will be needed, I am not sure what to do. Maybe I could go to $2k but not sure if I should buy some great equipment now and buy more later, or buy mediocre equipment and get it all now. Are there ever sales on this equipment, maybe black friday sales? As far as the content, I like lots of different music but I would mostly use these speakers for watching TV. I like alot of sci fi and action movies so the subwoofer would get a bit of use! I love a deep rich bass sound in music also! Hopefully the two people you know from Texas see this. Thank You!!

Always remember you don't have to buy everything at once if I were to start over again I'd start peice by peice and build my way up.

Start with 2.1 that's 2 speakers a sub and a reciever. Then add from there. Get the best 2.1 system you can then buy the best center channel you can then buy the best surround speakers you can etc etc

Next question is what's your budget? How much would you like to spend?

Do you have pictures of the room? That would help us greatly

Also is this a family room dedicated room like a game room.

Do you and your family want a clean look and pretty speakers or can you go for anything and put performance over looks get the best bang fir your buck

What's your listening habits how much would you say is music how much is movies how much is TV and streaming? Do you like to play video games?

What type of display do you have? TV?

All this info would help us give recommendations

P.S. that's a big room I don't think a SB 3000 is going to come close to giving you that wall shaking big bass you need
