I just shed a tear.

I'm gonna grab the toaster and go take a bath. Been nice knowing you guys!

In all seriousness, WVU deserves it. They turned it up in the 2nd half and UK sucked it up. And, like everyone has said all season, UK's inability to make free throws cost them. It didn't come down to it, but had they at least shot 60% they would've won the game. Kudos to WVU, though. Their first time going to the final 4 in 50+ years. I wish them luck.

Now, Baylor... kick Duke's ***!
I was surprised but that this tourney. Izzo deserved this IMO. He had a lot of bad luck this year and you could see how much he wanted it for his kids.

Butler did too. I'm excited hopefully the Bears can do the unthinkable. Baylor has never won anything in my life. The possibility for them to win something has been rare. We were always the team getting stomped in sports. A Final Four would be a dream. I've been a Baylor fan my entire life, but it's not easy. You learn to appreciate even winning a game.

So true. Like you, I am bummed out over UK losing the game. But man, it just was NOT their night. WVU just kept hammering and hammering. Kudos to them for their win. It has been an amazing season for the UK Wildcats. Besides, an Elite 8 appearance is not too shabby to say the least. Sure, a Final Four would have been better, but WVU was just a better team on the particular day. There is always next year. ;):);)

Cheers,

Phil

Baylor looks quite impressive. My guess is, they will win it all if they beat Duke today. Good luck to them. :):)

We lost and it stinks, but I can't cheer against Coach K. That guy is a class act and we couldn't have lost to a better coach. I hope we have an IZZO-Coach K final. Duke-Michigan St. would be epic.

Yeah, I agree MI State vs. Duke would make for a stellar game. Sorry about Baylor. Both Coach K and Tom Izzo are truly class acts. Well, here is to next year. KY will have some big shoes to fill-well at least after the NBA draft that is. ;);)

3 NBA picks in the first 15 is impressive. I don't think you can fill the shoes, but you will certainly have good year.

Baylor gets Perry Jones so we should maintain our program.

You are right. It will be almost impossible to fill those shoes. However, Calipari is one heck of a recruiter. Glad to hear that about Perry Jones. Good luck to both of out teams next year. ;):);)

Now that the "Final Four" is set would anyone here like to make a prediction? I say it will be Duke over W. Virginia and Michigan ST. over Butler. That would mean Duke and Michigan ST. in the final game. If Lucas had not gotten hurt, then I would have chosen Michigan ST. over Duke. However, I do think it may very well be Dukes year. Anyone else want to offer a different outcome? Or, perhaps agree with mine? Feel free to speak up.;)

News Flash!

Well folks, March Madness is upon us yet again. Just thought I would post to see what others are thinking about this years NCAA tournament. For fun, I thought I would go ahead a post my picks for the (4) #1 seeds. They are in no particular order:

Pittsburgh
Texas
Ohio State
Duke or Kansas

Feel free to post yours as I really enjoy reading them. My UK Wildcats will do well to make it to the Sweet 16 this year imho. I also predict that Florida will win the SEC tournament. Of course, anything can happen on game day. So, what are your predictions?

Cheers,

Phil

Big East?

I think the Big East has been one of the toughest conferences this year. The Big East tournament is going to take it's toll on these teams. I doubt my Irish will make it past the sweet 16, but I hope so. I'm looking forward to seeing schools such as UCF, get some publicity and tv air time, they have a had great year.

I think BYU should get a 1 seed their RPI is very high and they have beat 9 top 25 teams. But I bet they get a 2. Ohio State, Pitt, Kansas, Duke will probably be the number 1s. Texas is stumbling a bit and I don't see them winning the Big 12 tourney.

Yeah, the Big East is brutal no doubt. Looks like Notre Dame is doing really well as of late. The same can be said about St. John's. BTW, what part of Indiana are you located? I am right across the Ohio River from Evansville, Indiana myself. Just curious is all.

Oops, I forgot about BYU. Come to think of it, I believe you have it right. We will all know soon enough. I do know Duke has a tough game against N. Carolina coming up. It is a home game for N. Carolina and they are hard to beat at home. Should be a great game though. Thanks for mentioning BYU.

Well folks, Selection Sunday is only 1-week away now. It looks like Ohio State is going to be the over all #1 seed. I also say Kansas will also end up being a #1 seed. However, not too sure about the other two. For example, Texas has stumbled a bit as of late AND BYU just recently lost their star center. Right now, I am a bit perplexed who the other two #1 seeds will be. Anybody here got any ideas? If so, lets hear them as I need all the help I can muster getting a handle on this years NCAA tournament. Sure glad KY has won their last 3-games. The last two were not pretty, but a few close wins nevertheless. Perhaps, KY will win the SEC. I doubt it, but I still have plenty of hope. My guess is Florida will win the SEC. Like all things in life, only time will tell.

Cheers,

Phil

Pitt beat at the last second. Kemba Walker with the dagger.

That should makes things easier for my Irish. They have a tough game tonight against Cinci. This is going to be a very, very tough Big East tournament.

Big 10 tourney should be pretty entertaining to watch.

Hey, if Notre Dame wins the Big East, then they are a lock for a #1 seed in the NCAA tournament. Quite impressive if you ask me. Sure hope KY does not have to play them again. Not too sure we could beat Notre Dame again given they way they been playing. KY did win today, but have a tough game ahead of them against Alabama. Sure hope KY wins the SEC, but Florida is considered the favorite to win. Good luck to the fighting Irish!

Cheers,

Phil
