Circuit City Liquidates Remaining Stores

I was a dept manager from 90 to 95 in several stores in northern and southern California,

back then the days were long like most retail,

but the pay was great,benefits were pretty good,and the stock purchase plan was very good,

I have gladly since moved into the non-retail sector

my question is: How long before they start to really put stuff on sale?

By that time I doubt there will be anything worth shopping for. People were going nuts over stuff at 10% off.

Can they discount the Bose stuff? A guy from HHGregg told me they absolutely couldn't discount Bose stuff because Bose wouldn't let them.

I for one am going to miss CC. They're the only retailer near me that stocks the 150 Amp fuses I need for the amp in my car

Went to circuit city and they are still only 10% off audio. he said in about 2-3 wks they may knock down prices. but by that time the people who think they are getting a good deal at 10% off would have bought all the good stuff. I will continue to eye there subs every couple of days. CC is across the street where I works.

I cant say that I would be working very hard if my company was closing. I would be working hard to find a new job though.....

That's B.S. The only thing Bose can do is threaten not to sell any more product to CC if they don't sell at Bose's approved prices. But uhm.... I'm sure you can see why such a threat is irrelevant here.

First off, how often do you need to replace your fuse? If you blow it often there is something wrong... secondly, there are plenty of places to get those fuses from online, and most likely you can get it cheaper online as well.

I too will miss CC, I hate it that now there is only Best Buy and HH Gregg for my local B&M stores now.

That doesn't matter... you fuse for the size of the power wire, not the amps.

I have a 100 amp ANL fuse on my 4 gauge power wire, but my 1200 watt sub amp has 4 30 amp fuses and my 300 watt front stage amp has two 30 amp fuses, and I have yet to blow my 100 amp ANL fuse, even when bumping at full tilt.

I stopped our local CC to see what was going on. It was the busiest I've ever seen that store. Signs out front said 10% - 30% off everything. The only thing I saw that was 30% off was tv stands. CD's and DVD's were 20% off, TV's 15% and pretty much everything else was 10%. I didn't see anything that looked like a deal too good to pass up. I did grab Turbo Tax for 10% off and one CD.

Yeah I understand that, just checking to see if he was anywhere close. If you are running to huge power sucking amps a 150 amp fuse may not be sufficient, but the power wire does make a huge difference as well. He is blowing it for a reason.......
