I wouldn't by a c3 vette unless it was a 68-70. Just not that impressive as sold.
I'm not really serious about buying one but saw it on Facebook. I do love the body style despite the lack of horsepower. I prefer that style over I think it's the C4-C6. The newer body styles on the vettes I like. Of course you can't go wrong with the original older classics.

Having owned 3 C3's over the years('69, 73 & 79), the '79 was my least favorite, probably because of the seven Corvettes I've owned since '77, it was the 'only' automatic, LOL !

With regards to your comment on 68-70, the 68 would be the least desirable for it had body panel fitment issues galore that if not repaired correctly would be a large expense. But if one is seeking a superb 'driver' then for the $$ spent a mid seventies bought on the cheap(as 'Dude' pointed out) and modded out from there would be the way to go IMO. Keep in mind on both the C2&3 that the frame and 'bird cage' integrity is critical.

I had a 68 and I was grateful I was one of the fortunate ones. The C2s are my classic favorite as for looks and engine options but couldn't afford one when I started looking at them again. Can't imagine doing a frame off resto on any of them, lol.

My stepdad had a 79, and I completely concur

I've owned 2 over the years, my first back in '77 was a base engine '66. It had 3 options, muncie M21, AM/FM and 4 way flashers. My current ride is obviously my favorite........

Suing Porsche is pretty silly to me. You were going fast LOL. Suing the driver? Maaaaaaaybe.... anyway family members either won cases or reached a settlement.

That's how the legal system works, you throw 20lbs of $hit up against the wall to see what sticks ........
Lawyers & plaintiffs have done more harm to the term "at your own risk" than about anything that comes to mind. I dunno how anyone can say "grieving" isn't sometimes camouflage for a fast track to millions. Porsche probably looked around and wonder WTF did we do?! 93 in a 45mph zone.

Looking back as a kid I'm thankful every year during the family picnic there was the high diving board at the public pool. Now it's gone. One time several years back it was either a small diving board or noone. Can't remember, but man how lame.

Funny I was thinking on that. The lifeguard perch is probably higher than the diving board LOL. I probably sound like an old foagey but the "golden era' is over.

Ah it was their own damn fault for driving too fast.

That expression is sorely missed in today's world.

I swapped cars with one of my buddies because he needed a sedan for a couple of days, a 911TS. I've never had a car scare me and that one did.

If anyone has a different opinion I'm all ears. I just don't get why the car company (or driver frankly) get sued? They were buddies who did business in the racing industry. Not much a stretch to see them going fast. The high diving board probably isn't the best example, but it sure was fun while it lasted. If you're a city administrator yeah the potential damages don't look good.

I'm with you. It's a frivolous lawsuit that hopefully goes nowhere.

I imagine it'd be much like trying to get a car manufacturer to pay people's speeding tickets.

Solutions to a nonexistent problem.

Watching a car video on dumb features in cars. Some of the door handles, or lack of, well I'm getting old lol. I like my dash on my '06 Toyota. Very simple and big radio buttons. I remember test driving the Buick Lacrosse and there must have been a lot of buttons all over on the center. On a Tesla you have to use the screen and toggle to find the button to open the glove compartment. You manually close it. I LOL when I heard that. Theyve gone overboard on the touch screen.

Another funny one on court cases is the acting after a favorable verdict. It's as if they're coached. No way! :D

I liked when Kyle Rittenhouse was crying (or convulsing) and then he seemed to literally stop and look around almost as if looking for confirmation lol. Or Alec Baldwin, but that case was pretty sad. :(
