I wouldn't by a c3 vette unless it was a 68-70. Just not that impressive as sold.
I'm not really serious about buying one but saw it on Facebook. I do love the body style despite the lack of horsepower. I prefer that style over I think it's the C4-C6. The newer body styles on the vettes I like. Of course you can't go wrong with the original older classics.

Having owned 3 C3's over the years('69, 73 & 79), the '79 was my least favorite, probably because of the seven Corvettes I've owned since '77, it was the 'only' automatic, LOL !

With regards to your comment on 68-70, the 68 would be the least desirable for it had body panel fitment issues galore that if not repaired correctly would be a large expense. But if one is seeking a superb 'driver' then for the $$ spent a mid seventies bought on the cheap(as 'Dude' pointed out) and modded out from there would be the way to go IMO. Keep in mind on both the C2&3 that the frame and 'bird cage' integrity is critical.

I had a 68 and I was grateful I was one of the fortunate ones. The C2s are my classic favorite as for looks and engine options but couldn't afford one when I started looking at them again. Can't imagine doing a frame off resto on any of them, lol.

My stepdad had a 79, and I completely concur

I've owned 2 over the years, my first back in '77 was a base engine '66. It had 3 options, muncie M21, AM/FM and 4 way flashers. My current ride is obviously my favorite........
