Our AQI was about 23 yesterday and it's 25 now- I definitely hope this year will be better than last- that was no treat.
We are still smoley. It dropped to a low of 53 here yesterday, that still looks bad, but not too bad. It is going back up and we are now at 66, moderately unhealthy.

In my view this is a bad start to the summer season, after a smokey year last year.

Seriously, I have no life.

Have you seen this brand of mask? They seem comfortable and they have filter media that's suitable for many kinds of pollutants. I went to a wood finishing presentation by General Finishes and he uses them- prefers these to any other that he used in the past and the cloth is washable. They're on sale now.

There was not much snow this winter in the northern sectors. Let's hope that we receive more rain this year to compensate somehow and make this year's forest fire situation more manageable and not as bad. as last year's.

There isn't really a hitting bottom during the Trump years. More an abyss so there's room for setting new records. At least from what I can see.

These are the ones that are funny to me. The left are thought of as enviro green nuts yet it's the right that are acting nutty on smoke. If you wanna go back in time like car pollution and whatnot the right presumably called them pussies about etc. Now they're the ones crying about some smoke drifting into their territory. I've never felt any effects from it other than the sky looks a little dark. However, it's difficult to believe it's genuine and some type of calculated political move. I dunno though. It's the Trump era.

Or stop arsons. ;)
Like the US government is doing a stellar job at management.
In Canada, lightning is the cause of 45% of all forest fires, but represents 81% of the total area burned:
