That more a cable quality when my speaker cuts out occasionally? They were pretty cheap to buy. Also here a humming every now and then. I'll unplug them and reconnect or twist them around. Sometimes that works. It's not really a consistent problem though.

Doubt that is a speaker cable problem. Speaker cables are easily tested with a multi-meter.

A cable cannot cause hum, it's just a metallic conductor. It only carries electricity and hum that would originate from a defective electric, electronic equipment or inadequate chassis or cable grounding.
