Doubt that is a speaker cable problem. Speaker cables are easily tested with a multi-meter.

It only carries electricity and hum that would originate from a defective electric, electronic equipment or inadequate chassis or cable grounding.

Speakers are the JBL Series 3 Mk II. Speakers are 5-7 years old if I remember right. Probably cables too.

I'm gonna guess the cable is aging because every once in a while one of the speakers will cut out. It's not really a huge problem since it's infrequent but will probably buy a little better of a cable.

Might look at the terminations on at the TS end if you can access to see if that's where the problem is, doubt the rca end is accessible.

If wiggling the plug makes it cut out, maybe new ends could be soldered on
