1. Definitive Technology - 3-Way Floorstanding Speaker with Built-in Subwoofer x 2
2. Definitive Technology - Mythos 3 Dual 4-1/2" 2-Way Center-Channel Speaker
3.Definitive Technology - Dual 4-1/2" 2-Way Bipolar Bookshelf Speakers x 2
4.Definitive Technology - ProMonitor 800 4-1/2" Bookshelf Speakers x 2
I just don't know about this setup. If I were you, I would not rush this. Let us do some thinking on this. 0% interest sounds good, but there are better ways to go about it.

Right off the bat, you are mixing 4 different speaker "looks". I mean the BP7006 looks very different from the Mythos & the ProMonitor. And the #3 is what model?

I think you should step back and relax and start from the BEGINNING.

Tell us your Budget, etc.

I would get a no- name AVR for 80 bucks since it going to be paired with those crappy DTs!

blah..hah.ha:D
I knew it was just a matter of time before you would say something like that!:p

The brother knows what he's doing here.:D
He has read plenty of great DT reviews, am I right?

He is at the store already. No harm in taking home those towers and seeing if he likes them. I just hope he buys a 600 or 700 buck AVR and not some > 1K one.

Oh, that's great.
That's one of my favorite stores in Dallas!
Dont worry; next time you are here I'll take you to my dealers. He has some awesome stuff but he only shows the cheap stuff to chumps like you and me;)

I never liked Ultimate Elect. always seemed like a jacked-up Best Buy to me.

1. As someone mentioned, BB has a good return policy, so take your pick, audition them, and return them if not satisfied.

2. Denon, Onkyo, and Yamaha are good receivers. It depends on individual taste. Some people like one, others the other.

3. My Marantz SR-5001 was a refurbished unit for $399.00 from accessories4less.com. Good customer service, and so far no problems with the unit. Cosmetically was in new condition, and everything has been working perfect. When my AV room is finished it will be used mostly as a secondary, as Processor and Amp combo will be installed.

4. Most high end audio stores also offer 0% for X months options, usually in conjunction with a financing institution like Wells Fargo, Citibank, etc. Check them out, before you buy from BB.

5. BB, Circuit City, and others have higher prices as they are charging you for their customer service and financing options.

I used to think that way about them too.
Until they sold me my DefTech for less price than any INTERNET stores including tax, shipping, etc. Now I realize I can buy almost anything for better than internet prices.

Here we go....

My Budget was $5000(appx).

I researched a lot about speakers and amp and almost decided to for Emotiva+Axiom/+Panny Proj+Hsu. all within budget but one glance at wallet, and now I need financing.....

Enter all CC and BB stores...

Here again I am more impressed with Onkyo 875 vs Denon however after generally talking to many guys on forums/stores I concluded that if I can buy all the stuff from one store I can negotiate the prices.

Hence
Polks+Optoma HD72+Onkyo vs Klipsh/Mirage/DefTech + Mits.HC1500 + Denon 2808.

I didnt like the polks or Klipsh. Both are great for music, but WAF did not work out(Sigh....gone are my head banging days).

So Options are now

Mits+Denon+DefTech OR Mits+Denon+Mirage

About speaker pairing in DefTech, since the cheapest FS ones were the $599(each) ones, I will start complying the system at BB.

The reason I looking at buyuing the whole deal before balck friday/ cyber monay is that I can evaluate the speakers/projector before friday and in case it does not suit my tastes/requirements projector can be replaced by a TV and speakers with some other ones ( in this case the Mirages), and if I get a better deal on 875/2808 anytime before Monday I can return the one I bought from BB and get this one.

I wish axiom had a financing thing on them and so did the Emotiva....sigh again!!!

Well, alright. I will reluctantly agree.:D
So this system consists of:

2 BP7006: $1,200
2 PM800: $250
2 BP1X: $350
1 Mythos Three Center: $500
Total Speaker = $2,300

I would have gone with this from Digitalcraze.com or Ultimate Electronics:
5 StudioMonitor 350: $1,100 (telephone quote price)
2 BP7004: $1,200 (internet price)
Total Speaker: $2,300

You are the DT expert; I have no idea about them. I think they are kind-of ugly with that cloth on the sides but I am sure they sound pretty good:D

Do you have a Magnolia HiFi store near you? If you do, they have the same stuff as BB plus more...a lot more. They will also match anything the BB magnolia store does if you ask nicely.:)

I dont even know what they are:p
You are lying. Just come out of the closet, will you?
You secretly go to Ultimate Electronics every chance you get just to listen to them. You think they are beautifully wrapped up in that sexy black smooth sock, but you are afraid everyone will know that you are a DT fanboy.
You have read every single review of them in Home Theater Magazine, Sound & Vision Magazine, and Audio Video Revolution.
You are sick.:D
