Personally been researching receivers and speakers for about two months now. For receiver ended up buying a Marantz SR-5001, which compares to Denon's 2307Ci, but it was basically a coin toss between Marantz and Denon with Marantz winning for being slightly better handling the type of music I hear most. For speakers still deciding.

Denon 2807 is a good choice, don't know what else Magnolia BB has, as they will not finish construction and open in PR until Feb. 2008, Circuit City opens their first store in one or two weeks.

Regarding the projector, don't know what to tell you, but you will find lots of companies selling in the internet at a better price than BB, and offer 0%/12 mths. financing.

Even though I have not decided on speakers, have read a lot regarding both of your choices. It looks like the Mirage offer a better sound image for Home Theater use.

Good luck, as this are the crucial life changing decisions that will hunt you for the rest of your life...But, like everyone say, trust your ears.

thanks guys...

mazer , those speakers are too expensive for me.:(
WHat about the ones I wrote about they retail for $499.

guan , I am hoping to get deal from them lowest I could find was $850. So I am hoping I can talk to them. Again since BB doesnt have Marantz I have
:(limited options.

So again for the room ( deidicated HT room) Mirage or DefTech??

Mirage and DefTech both make great speakers. Which ones sounded best to you? Those are the ones you should buy.

Since speakers are the most important part of a system; I would slow down a little and audition all you can. BB has a liberal return policy so take those DTs home and see how you like them but keep on auditioning speakers.

Is there an Ultimate Electronics store near you?
They sell both Mirage & Def Tech. They can order any model for you.
They will price match other dealer's prices (and I don't mean Best Buy either).

I got my DefTech for 0% finance for 18 months too. Best price.

Oh, they will give you the best prices on Denon receivers & Mitsubish (or Epson) projectors too.

I know they are each $599. about $100 expensive than the Mirages. , but can be offset by the fact i dont need to buy a sub for the DefTech.

I think I will do that buy the DefTech and audition them and return if It doesnt sound good.

thanks everyone!!!
