I think it should be mandatory to buy a SVS cylinder sub if you have DTs so everything has the panties.
That is a total copy-cat!
But it looks good.:)

There is no way I will ever combine speakers from two different companies together. No way.

DTs go w/ DTs. SVS go w/ SVS. Digms go w/ Digms.

Just like no way I will ever put two different brands of preamp & amp together. No way. Please.

It's like wearing two different color socks. No way.

It's like wearin two different shoes. No way.

It's like mixing mash potatoes with pees. No way.

I know. I know.

There is something wrong with me.:D

I could care less what kind of surrounds I use and a sub doesnt matter as long as it is a Servo, HSU, DD18 or SVS!

Update

hi all

I bought these speakers for 0% financing for 2 years....

1.Definitive Technology
Model: BP7006BLA x 2 = $1200
2. Definitive Technology - ProSub 1000 10" 300-Watt Powered Subwoofer
Model: PSUB1000BLA x 1 = $500
3. Definitive Technology - Dual 5-1/4" 2-Way Center-Channel Speaker
Model: CLR2002BLA = $500
4.Definitive Technology - ProMonitor 800 4-1/2" Bookshelf Speakers
Model: PROMON800 x 4 = $500

Total = $2700

Mits. HC1500 = $900.

I could not get them reduce the price on magnolia speakers , however they removed the restocking on projector and reduced the price.

For the reciever I have decided to go for Onkyo TX875, however I am not sure CC matches prices? BH has it for 1,295. Would CC match it?

thanks

Sounds good to me. I have the CLR2002 center channel, and it's in mint condition. If you want to save some money, I'll sell you mine for $325 shipped. I want to upgarde mine, but haven't found any buyers, I still have the original box, manual, and everything else. I can't let you finance it, but it will save you some money. PM me if you are interested, and we can work out the details.

I use all DT except for the sub... I think you get more for your money with SVS, and I would like a nice Emotiva pre/pro, but the new ones aren't out yet, so I'll stick with Yamaha since it sound great with what I have now.

That's why I hate Best Buy/Magnolia. No internet price matching. Bastards.

If you are lucky, you might pull a fast one on CC.

I would do something like:

"The Onkyo 875 is a nice receiver. A friend of mine bought one at Ultimate Electronics for $1,295. He said he would take me to this store this weekend. I would love to buy it from you guys, but the price difference is too much----unless you guys can match? I guess Ultimate Electronics is a bigger company than you guys?":D

I thought you went with the BP7006 because you didn't need a subwoofer?

Well, since you already bought it, give it a good test drive. They probably sound great. The 2 yr Zero Interest Finance did it, huh? Time is money.

I still think.........:D

Well...HT is never complete without a sub is it? But DF subs are crap I will probably return and go for SVS/HSU ...

I think all the matching is more cosmetic than anything.
Yeah, comparing the subs, SVS's subs do give more bang for the bucks.

I love DefTech Subs. They are usually just more expensive than SVS & HSU.

If I get my wish for a 1,000 s.f. (15,000 c.f.) home theater and find that my BP7000SCs don't produce enough bass, I will definitely buy the DefTech Trinity Signature Subwoofer!:D

I agree on the cosmetics as welll, but since my PS3 is bewteen the amp and the receiver on my rack it's not really a big deal.

Oh, goodness. But I think if I had 7 BP7000SCs & hooked up all 7 LFE inputs, I doubt that I will need the Trinity.

I can probably get five more BP7000SCs for $8,000. It's going to take 3 more years for my HT Piggy Bank to reach $8,000.:D

You will be absolutely 100% glad & happy you bought the Onkyo 875, instead of the Denon 2808!!!

Sound & Vision tested the Onkyo-875, and it clocked out at 128 wpc w/ ALL channels driven simultaneously!
4 HDMI 1.3 inputs, TrueHD, DTS-MA, Pure Direct Mode, HQV Reon 1080p Upscaler---are you kidding me?

I'm almost salivating talking about it.:D

I think you should do 7 BP7000SCs and 2 Trinitys to really crack the foundation. That's what I would do if I had the space, and the budget.

I also hear it runs almost hot enough to cook on, so make sure to give it plenty of breathing room.

Well, first thing's first.
Audition those DTs.

If you love the sound, you may consider returning them and getting a better deal elsewhere. Did you PM GlocksRock about the CLR2002?

No way I would pay $1,200 for a pr of BP7006s when I could pay $1,200 for a pr of BP7004s, which have 10-inch 300-watts subwoofers & 5-1/4" midranges, which would perfectly fit the CLR2002's 5-1/4" midranges.
