Bower & Wilkens 686 speakers any good?

Thinking of upgrading to B&W 686 speakers from JBL Loft40's.

They make good speakers. Now, whether or not you like their sound is another story. I find them a bit uninvolving myself.

Thanks for the feedback on the speakers.

Lots of bookshelf speakers out there but mostly online. I'd like to bring them home and give them a try.

That's the only way you will know if you like them. Everyone has different tastes. Ergo, so many different speakers, all claiming to be the best and have their fans (and detractors), yet sound different.

Buy from some place that has a liberal return policy and keep all packing materials.

Only audio stores around my area is Best Buy and Fry's. Don't carry much selections.
