I am not aware of any dealer that sells Paradigm via the net. There may be some on audiogon or ebay. Might even check craigslist. There is bradfordshifi.com too. Good luck in finding one.

Agreed..... Audiogon is your best friend here... Or don't forget Videogon...

Its really hard to get the .v2 series used, but if you have patience, all good things come... as they say....

Paradigm doesn't do sales on any E-tailer that I am aware of. They are much like B&W in this respect. Any new Paradigm speakers are going to be sold at retail brick and mortar or specialty store.

Thats the conclusion I came to because I only could find them localy at a high end audio place and needless to say I felt like I was buying a ferrari because they wouldnt hardly negotiate and even let me walk once :(. But I came back :)

Thats my second favorite store, but dont tell anyone :D
Most businesses can be more competitive, they just are just lazy and think they are somehow un-expendable. They are dead wrong, and sadly these boutique audio stores may be one of the big reasons for the dumbing down of audio. Average joes are afraid to step foot in these stores. I can't think of any good business model that only caters to a select few, omitting scams.;)

I agree with you both 110%. For those who don't mind doing their own research, why not just buy their B&W800D from BB, FS, WM. I bet you if WM sells B&W, their price will drop at least 25%. Some of the sales 'Consultant' in high end stores are indeed very nice people, but in most cases I did not find them particularly knowledgeable.

When I was shopping for speakers I found the more expensive (in Canada) Energy Veritas SQ clearly above the Studio V3 and below the Signatures, but one of the decisive factor was that the Energy dealer was more negotiable on price. Now that Klipsch has taken over, the Veritas are finally available in some Future Shops, so the price should come down. I am anxious to see if they can eventually catch up with more popular Studios. Anyway, I know there is no hope that B&W or the Signatures will ever be sold in places like BB unless Klipsch does the same thing to them. Until then if you want them you will have to pay more, plus even more to cover the higher margin commanded by your local friendly dealers, who will continue to tell you the excellent service you will get, that you will most likely never need.

Im in Oregon and im not proud to say but I am very happy, I payed very close to retail. I payed 1950 for the pair of Studio 60's and I think it was 1200 for my cc690 center. I did spend a few hours total asking questions and listening to movies and music and the saleman was real nice but I did have the feeling like I payed more than I should of . Not that the speakers arent worth it because they totally are in my oppinion. One nice thing that took the sting out of it is I didnt have to pay tax on it here in Oregon.
