Anyone can lose weight but it's not always easy. Food is fuel but it's not how much, it's what is eaten. That, by itself, can be a big part of the problem- eating low calorie can be very boring and it's not cheap. Fast food can be very inexpensive, but the nutritional value is usually terrible.
It requires a different mind set- eating when 'it's time to eat' is an easy way to gain or not lose weight- I used to do that and changed to 'eat when I'm a bit hungry'. That works for me and I'm down about ten pounds in only a few weeks. Less carbs, too- I don't add sugar to anything, avoid white bread/pasta/large amounts of rice, no candy/ice cream/baked goods and eat lots of vegetables. Lots of easy ways to make vegetables in a way that aren't boring and bland- I like Asian cooking, so I stir fry with just a little oil and use sauces that don't contain sugar or high amounts of Sodium.
Do you squat, kneel with your feet flexed or sit on something that's close to the floor with your feet flexed? That's what caused PF in my feet. I stopped doing that and added some light stretching- it was gone soon.
Can you use an anti-fatigue mat on the floor? That could help, if the emloyer will allow it.
