I seem to have a lot of pain while standing long periods over a hour.
I tried sketchers slip ons $80 pair
and Nike reax with dr scholls insoles .
neither really was better for foot pain. Although I’m probably just considering using better insoles with these shoes I’m also open to better shoes that aren’t too expensive.
I also have bad back pain from standing long periods over a few hours. But there’s no desk jobs here I’m able to get so I’ll have to be standing a lot.

I'd just stick to the $50-60 shoe with room for insoles. Plus if you work in wet conditions the life of the shoe decreases.

Standing without any walking? Modern feet need support- comfort is great, but for standing, thick socks and firm shoes are better. High socks prevent circulation problems in the legs, too- they're more comfortable than short socks.

Where is the pain, just ahead of your heel(s)? That could be Plantar Fascitis and from experience, I can say it sucks.

I have worn New Balance shoes for a long time and they have better arch support than most- flat insoles are OK if someone sits most of the time, but for standing & walking, which I have done A LOT over the decades, arch support has made it possible. Also, it's good to switch between pairs of shoes if possible- it's not always financially practical, but it can help.

Asics are the only comfort shoe I wear since 2007. They make series for people with different strides and with stability control and wide width. They're not cheap but if you get the previous years model they're around 50% off the usual 199 price. I have CRPS and have serious foot problems when an attack comes on.

When peole ask what size I wear, I just say 'Clown, medium". I'm also a Clydesdale, so the psi is pretty high when I'm standing. I can definitely tell when my shoes need new insoles or replacement.

Foot pain is a symptom and not a diagnosis. So it is an axiom that you can't prescribe treatment without accurate diagnosis.

My new shoes and my last years shoes with new insoles neither are good enough. I don’t know if anything will help , they are in the $80-90 range . https://www.kohls.com/product/prd-1915839/nike-reax-8-tr-mens-cross-trainers.jsp
The new insole are these. I was fine for 5 hours then the foot pain got worse.

I'd do these with some type of orthotic. Or alone. It kinda depends on your feet, the shoe etc. My experience is if I don't have a hard sole I feel it in my back eventually. Unfortunately a hard sole can have comfort issues. Plus I have a high arch.
