Best insoles & shoes for foot pain?

Turned out the sketchers and the custom insole they came with was not enough for constant standing. Both my ankles were shot now just one hurts.

Any suggestions of better shoes under $150 , insoles under $50? Dr scholls locally are around $16-20. For the cheaper ones.

I'll re-alliterate Asics. Choose the your stride (pronation or supination) and then pick the previous year's model to come in under your $150 budget. My primary care doc, orthopedic surgeon and neurosurgeon all wear them. I switched to them years ago and wouldn't wear another shoe.

I was looking at those but couldn't figure out which style for work. The kayano, nimbus, or Cumulus I imagine.

Also Brooks. For insoles maybe the Superfeet green.

Overall I've had good luck with sketchers, but the durability isn't there. The one pair that didn't work was the sketchers sport. Good for two weeks than all of a sudden huge pain.

Depends on your stride. The Cumulus fits my pronation stride as do the Kayano. Their website will tell you which shows are best. The Kayano is geared for "over" pronation and the Cumulus less pronounced.

I'm not sure. I wear an orthotic with a high arch. Of late it feels like the arch is pushing my feet outwards so the sides I have pain. I traded my hokas for the Brooks beast GTS. Knowledgeable foot person that helped, but if they will work I won't know till later. She felt I needed a harder sole.

Underpro/high arch, but the extra cushioning not sure on. If it's too squishy I feel it in my back. Oddly the hokas I had shooting pain. The NB 1540s are also very similar with the fresh foam but the darn sketchers were doing better lol.

I certainly get it. I've had multiple back and neck surgeries, so I definitely get your situation.

Not that bad. I just feel it in the back if I don't have the shoe support.

I bought these at Walmart for $9. These are basically an air pillow but not the $4 type Dr Scholls makes. I use to double up on the latter and these are like two of those. These do not have that plastic outer shell with the pillow heel sticking through at the bottom. They are basically all foam. I just wanted to go with something different than what I already have.

Maybe worth a shot Dr scholls are what I have now about ready to consider a new pair of shoes most likely sketchers.. not sure what model is best on sale though on there site . Top models don’t have sales it seems so gotta go down to $110 or lower .
