So you don't own the product you back.

My recommendation to the OP was to try different products and see what he thinks. If I was backing anything, it was the product I own. EMP e55ti. Unfortunately in your world what you own is the only thing of relevance.

You will not find one thread where an opinion has been given of Quart negatively. Not one.
I don't give a crap about other people's subjective opinions. 100 people could love something but if the measurements are **** it's the same as those Zu Audios etc.

You seem to possy-up with members, and yet you have no personal experience with the products you are backing. The proof is in the thread.

Let's see

-I said I've heard the energies and they sounded nice and that I couldn't comment on them.
-I said I've heard the Infinities and they sounded nice. They also measure well in some ways.
-I said I own the EMP Teks and I love them. They also measure well in some ways.
-I said the SVS is well designed as measurements show and it's a company I would buy from.
-I suggested the Magnepan MMG as something to look into. I barely even commented on it besides "It costs $600 and might be placement sensitive"

You've really proven your point though

But if we're talking about what we've seen, then I've seen you attack people unwarranted in threads with helpful suggestions and attack their business practices and expertise and then attack me for suggesting that maybe they know a bit more than you seem to think, at which point i'm just sucking up to another person. I've also seen you get into arguments about what MY intentonal meaning for wording something was and refuse to beleive me when I CLARIFY MY OWN MEANINGs.

You went on for days bashing tubes in many threads. Then when asked have you ever heard tubes in the last thread, the thread died.

I believe the OP has enough information here to make an informed decision.

I CLARIFY MY OWN MEANINGs.
Rrrrright. You post the "white paper", after giving thanks in support of the kitchen table mods.

It's very clear to me.

Was the "white paper" before or after the mods?

Doesn't matter to me. I know the Infinity brand. I know the SQ. And, I know the build quality.

That is generally a nice, smooth plot, but I wish they didn't give a ±6db tolerance! That allows 12db difference between the loudest and softest which is not a reasonable standard for listening to music.
Looking at the plot, it looks like they could claim 80Hz to 15kHz using a much more impressive ±2db tolerance.
Not many speakers can claim that flat of a FR!
That is a nit pick in the scheme of things, but SVS is good about providing data and graphs and it is a shame that they chose to declare the FR using an unreasonably wide tolerance.
Being a sealed tower, I think the rolloff would hurt its sales if they said it only extends to 80hz or whatever. By saying 60hz they give people a bit more confidence that it'll cross to a sub. Combined with a graph, it looks like your bonafide THX-certified speaker.

Tubes are garbage. I've heard a tube amp before, if you must ask, but it was with a speaker I wasn't familiar with in a room I wasn't familiar with so I couldn't tell you what was what.

What I can tell you is that tubes measurably distort sound. Plain and simple that's B.S. that I don't bother with. Why the hell would it interest anyone interested in accuracy?

You have heard a tube amp. Is that one?:rolleyes:

Changing my identity. Elementary, don't you think?

Not man enough to keep the DUMBO you went with at first?;)

As I said, I think the OP can see for himself. Night night, and no hard feelings.
