Best Buy is slowly dying

I'm rather glad Best Buy is slowly losing business. I use to work there and use to shop there quite often. Then I moved to the west coast and found Frys Electronics and never looked back at BB. Too many bad experiences shopping there.
I'm EXACTLY the opposite. There's a Fry's just down the street from my job but I hardly ever go there. Occasionally I buy BD's there but usually only when Amazon is out of stock or I don't feel like waiting a week for a disc. The wife and I bought a TV from Fry's about 5 years ago but I've never had a good experience with their salespeople. Just about everyone that works at the one by my work, (Brokaw in San Jose, which is their headquarters I believe) is an immigrant which leads me to wonder if they don't pay very well. Also the salesepeople have almost NO product knowledge.

The only reason I'd go to Fry's is if I already knew exactly what I wanted and they had a better price.

Like or dislike BestBuy it's rarely a good thing to lose an another shopping option. I've bought quite a bit from them over the years. I don't like having things like TV's shipped and like having them as an option. (I bought my last TV from them.)

I wish we had a Fry's. When I walk into an electronics store to buy something, I've made sure I'm more knowledgeable on the products than anyone in the store. I never consult floor salespeople for advice or questions, and I never trust anything any of them say without verifying it.

That's probably why I love Fry's so much. The people leave you alone more and the prices and selection are superior.

Frys wasn't like that when they started, but when they started to expand they got like that, just like any other place. No, they likely don't pay well, and neither does Best Buy, which is why their staff are like that. I still prefer Frys, but if I can get it off Amazon, I do. With Prime, I don't wait a week for anything :D I mean, how can you go wrong with $4 for 1 day shipping and 2 day shipping is FREE (Amazon items)??! I've had bad experiences at Frys but also good ones, and the same with Best Buy, so there's not much difference there. I think the one in Sunnyvale on Arquez is the headquarters.

The only reason I'd go to Fry's is if I already knew exactly what I wanted and they had a better price.
THIS, except that Best Buy is EXACTLY the same in that respect :) Doesn't matter which one it is, I pretty much always know more than the salesperson because I've already done my homework.

Oh, yeah. Xena and Gabrielle were both Amazons... :)
Nothing wrong with that. Perhaps Best Buy should do that. Hire attractive women that you would buy anything from.

Sure I'll buy that 50 dollar monster cable now that you mention it.
