Hello,

I thought I would share my accomplishment and confirm that it is correctly done.

Subs are Dayton Ultimax 18-22 in a 4 cu/ft sealed cabinet X 2
Crown 1502 X 2

Prior to doing REW autoEQ, the amp was clipping on intense movie scenes. I had some boost as well as the Linkwitz Riley Transform loaded on both subs. Some delay was also set.

I made the following changes:

I have a miniDSP2X4HD and I ran REW autoEQ on the subs and followed the instructions as per the app note. After, I ltried to import the EQ filers into the Minidsp band filters. 1, 2 etc. NOTE I saved filer coefficients to file as well as exported the filter coefficients as .txt. I was unable to load the .req nor the .txt. I clicked import in the minidsp and when I selected the file, window came up saying "processing" and then went away. Nothing was imported nor any EQ was engaged in the mini. I had to type them in myself by looking at the .txt file band by band. Not sure what happened.

Followed this: https://www.minidsp.com/applications/auto-eq-with-rew and

https://www.minidsp.com/applications/home-theater-tuning/tuning-multiple-subs#procedure

I also included a Linkwitz Riley Transform to 18Hs on both output channels (dual subs).

I set a high pass filer to 18Hz @ 12db/octave and bypassed the lowpass to ensure that nothing below 18Hz would pass.

Seems like I eliminated the clipping issue.

The results are the following with no smoothing (note that the two lines are No EQ versus the Changes above):

Please let me know your thoughts. If you have suggestions on how to improve then I would be grateful.
