After I've made my personal setup ( Based on 2 channel Stereo ) I was very pleased.
When watching 5.1 Movie , A disaster !
The bass Covered all Audio and my living room. Smeared Bass.
In 5 days from today I will post up my setup photos for you to fully understand.

You can also usually have one setting for 2ch, another for movies, altho not familiar with the McIntosh in that regard, just generally for avrs/pre-pros. Sounds like you boosted bass for music and found that to be too much for the movies so far. Smeared means what particularly?

Made Audyssey auto setup , the sound is clearer.
New issue : When using Audyssey auto setup on 5.1 channels , The output volume is low .
Meaning : need to turn the volume level up and up to enjoy more power .
When turning to 2 Stereo channels , The volume is higher and ok ,(without touching the volume level knob ) So I hear more bass .
Where can I change the 5.1 level volume ?
In the past , I could hear much higher 5.1 volume level so I know it's possible.

You can't expect the sound pressure level versus volume setting to be the same because different music recording/mix and movies are different. What you are experiencing seem normal to me. Just adjust the volume to suit.

You can't just turn the volume up? Are you referring to a specific volume as indicated by the volume control?

Can you measure each volume level with an spl meter (even a phone app) and report back? To have a swing of 20dB (sounds like you're using the absolute scale at least) does sound odd if all other things are equal. Not sure of what your settings in general are, but RLO is an adjustment for using Dynamic EQ, and Dynamic Volume is a dynamic compression routine, neither of which would account for such a difference.

Not to mention different sources are going to have different dynamics. Stuff mixed in 5.1, particularly movies, is generally mixed lower than stereo stuff in my experience. I often have to turn movies up louder than I play music. Either way, you can just turn your volume up right?

Again, make sure you turn dynamic volume off. That will kill your dynamics.

The master volume is the normal way of doing that. Are you comparing the same source in 5.1 vs 2.0? Not all recordings are at the same level....

Turn on Dynamic eq for boost. Reference level offset "0" is the strongest boost. Reference level 15 is the least amount of boost.

But compare whatever source material you're comparing with the same settings, just play one in 2.0 and the other in 5.1 just using sound modes to change between them for the same recording....

Movies are recorded to a general standard, much 2.0 music is not. Play something on Netflix and use it's audio controls to change between 2.0 and 5.1 or do the same with a disc....
