Band of Brothers is Coming to Blu Ray

If you can, try to set aside the whole weekend for a marathon Band of Brothers session. That way, you can really get familiar with the characters and the events of the series. Honestly, I done that twice already, beginning to end in a single weekend, and it was worth it both times.

I'm doing that this long weekend again but now on BR.

I just watched a disk a night for 5 straight. Absolutely awesome series and even better in BR.

How are your ears doing, rmk? For me, this series caused more ringing of the ears than anything else, not even close.

While videophiles might bemoan certain aspects of these BDs, it is IMO that they are a huge improvement from the DVDs.

I finished this BD set a few weeks ago and I must say, what a magnificent mini-series!! I loved it! I was sad when it was over .
The PQ was very good and the sound as well. I would have liked a little bit more LFE at times, but it was still good. The Battle of the Bulge had quite a bit LFE though.

There is an effect on these films to make them look older. When I bought the Blu Rays I didn't know how it would look in HD compared to the DVDs. Needless to say it looks fantastic, and the sound is really dynamic.

I didn't have any problem with the PQ so far. It is grainy in dark scenes, but a lot of movies/shows are that way.

Does the Blu-Ray come with the exact extras as the DVD set? I'm not usually an "extras" guy but I love this set and didn't want to trade it in or sell it if the Blu Ray doen't have the same stuff.

Watched this with my girlfriend recently, I had seen it before but she hadn't. She liked it a lot, as did I, and with it being on blu ray it was even better.

I've been renting these for my work as part of our uh, "demo material" and holy cripes, they look and sound awesome! Close to reference quality if you ask me, and all the battle scenes with the lossless sound are absolutely great demos. Oh yeah--great quality series, too

I agree and I really enjoyed the series , great audio and very very realistic.Its about as real as it gets .

Can't wait to get it on BD. Have it on SD already and have seen it many times and each time it was just as enjoyable. First time watching it in 2007 was a full on BOB marathon. Have not done that since i did 14 episodes of 24 in one non stop session.

I picked up the B.O.B Box set Friday and it has to be one of the best Blu-Ray titles for demoing... DTS-HD Master Audio does exploding trees and grumbling bullets flying by you extremely well. I've always liked the Band of Brother series, but Blu-Ray makes it so much better.... two thumbs wayyyy up!
