So right now I'm running a set of Bose 701 Series 2 speakers with a matching center channel and a Sony STR-DH790 receiver. Last week I landed a set of Polk Audio Monitor 60s with a matching center, along with a Denon AVR-S730H on FB Marketplace....all for $50. Everything is in working order. Which would be the better set, the Polks or the Bose?

The one you like better, or set them up in different rooms and enjoy both?

I am a big fan of Polk, but you are not me. Try them both and use the one you like better. Peace and goodwill.

Anything but Bose! I would think the Polk's would be the better bet.

Still, not saying much. Open up any Bose and you’ll find the absolute least quality capacitors, resistors and magnets on woofers, midrange and tweeters. That has been my experience.
I think I was misremembering the model number, just looked these up and not what I was thinking about....I'd not buy Bose speakers in any case. Did that once, never again....
