The resident doctor, you know, the one that gave us the incorrect news about the MRI, informed us Cayla will go home tomorrow. I believe she is correct this time.:D I will let everyone know when she gets home safe.;)

Funny thing. My wife was due on the 15th. That means, if she delivered on her due date, Cayla would've come home on the 17th. Recovery for a vaginal delivery is two days. My wife was a week early. Cayla was born around 11:40PM on the 7th. Cayla has been in NICU a week, and two days(by tomorrow the 17th). She will be home on the 17th.;)

super good news. i couldn't a bible verse I wanted to post a few days back but generally, the gist was:

'it is not the will of God that children suffer'

---0----

if you believe in God, I guess this was all following a master plan.

I was just following up and I saw your baby's photo, man she's a heart-breaker, what a beautiful little girl, God bless her, you and your wife, I've been so depressed since you informed us and now I feel like a huge burden has been lifted from my shoulders, I was praying this morning in church that she would be ok, well I can just tell you I haven't been this happy in quite while, enjoy her as much as possible, they grow up so fast that you'll find yourself asking where did the time go. I always remember the song The Cat's In The Cradle to check myself and make sure I give my little boy priority over trivial things, I can proudly say I "wasted" my Sunday playing with Mikey while my buddies were catching all the football games.....man! No regrets!

Just reading all of this. I'm glad to see all is looking good. Brains are incredibly resilient, especially at such a young age.

Zumbo, Congrats on the new addition to your lives... thats wonderful...

I can sympathize on the ordeal that you are going through... My son was 2 pounds at birth, and was in the hospital in NICU for 90 days... they even read him his last rights mid way through with bleeding in the lungs and other problems...

Those were some very very rough times... but he pulled through, and now he is 16yrs old and a big pain in my buttocks!!!!! :D

I guess what Im trying to, is have some faith, and hang in there...
the best Christmas Present, will be when she is home... !!!!

IMO there is nothing in this world that can validate the word LOVE, more than the birth of a new BABY.
Take care of yourself and your new little princess:).

After an hr of reading this thread and seeing all the heartache, emotional rollercoaster, and support from the community. I am elated with joy at the good news of the recovery.

Congrats on having all of your prayers answered and for hanging in there.

I hope there is no lasting damage and that she can live a normal and fulfilling life.

Best Wishes, and Merry Xmas.

She is home!:D:D:D

I have had a lot of help with audio questions, many fun battles, enjoyed many conversations about audio equipment, and helped as many as I was able to in other threads. This thread, by far, shows the compassion of the members of Audioholics. I consider all of you to be my real friends, and some day we may get a chance to meet. Until then.........

Great news Zumbo.
Merry Christmas, a week early.

And of course in a few months it will be time to protect the Yamaha and blockade the MBQs.:D A small price to pay.

Congratulations.

Yes!! I'm seriously smiling so much it's making me laugh - the undeniable effect of pure joy at hearing the news. Tremendously exhilarated that Cayla is home safe and sound! :D

Congrats Zumbo! I just had to run and tell my wife as well, as I have filled her in on the progress... :)
