B&w 705 s2 speakers

Hi gang, I just bought a set of B&W 705 s2 speakers and im pretty blown away. Firstly the construction is right up there, the cabinet is very solid and the crossover is very simple but high quality inducter and poly film cap.

The sound is very open, transparent detailed and projects a big soundstage. Lots of atmosphere and space without loosing quality.

Steve guttenbergs review was spot onbin every way although I would argue the bass is really good...clean medium fast and well defined, the bass in somewhat kind of lean but b&w speakers excel is detail cleanness and transparency.

I'm playing it through my Denon 3806 using digital coaxial inputs. Yeah I could have a much better amp but it sounds pretty good.

Looks like the On-axis FR of the 705 is actually a lot better than even their 800D speakers.

Auditioned the 705 S2 but couldn’t find the matching stands. Too bad because they looked and sounded great and were 40% off list price with the new 705 S3 now available.
