Does anyone know if there's a Marantz AV10 owners forum somewhere on the Audioholics website?

I don't think we do, Jack. The problem is that it is 7K. AVPs and AVRs tend to become outdated by changes in technology fairly quickly. The other issue is that a unit like that is likely to be placed in more complex systems. So, not making it 19" rack mountable was a bad mistake. I absolutely require units like that to be 19" rack mountable.

If a unit is going to be that costly, then it needs to be modular and updateable. In many aspects it highlights everything that is wrong in the world of AV right now.

Um, all I did was ask a simple question. I’m not understanding what your (or anybodys) differing opinion of the AV10 has to do with having a forum for its’ owners. But thanks anyways for confirming my search.

I was just giving you context, that is all. Are you considering purchasing an AV10?

Middle Atlantic can make custom rack ears and face panels for almost any brand and model, so rack mounting really doesn't need to be an issue. Rarity, OTOH, will prevent forums having threads about a particular model.

OTOH, there's this-

TLS Guy - Not sure what you mean by context, but it doesn't matter. The reason I'm looking for an owners forum is because I own an AV10 and have questions.

Gene - Thanks for the tip. I'll check it out.

Congratulations on selecting such a wonderful processor.

Check out the thread Gene linked and although I went with the Htp-1 instead of the AV10 it was a very close call and I did a lot of research on the AV10

I also spent a lot of time with owners of the AV10 so like @William Lemmerhirt said if you have any questions let us know.

Also PM us so we can answer questions you have privately with a lot of details as well.

I can't wait to hear your experiences with the AV10 it is an amazing processor

@William Lemmerhirt Thanks for the offer to help. It's appreciated. To start off with, lets go with one that I think would be fairly easy. I'm unable to get ARC functioning. Any tips on where to start looking?

@Danzilla31 Good choice on your part. Monoprice makes some really respectable stuff, especially when you consider the price point. I own two of the Monolith 7X 200wpc power amps, one of which is in my dedicated theater powering the ceiling speakers. Just can't beat the bang for the buck.

Hi Jack. First thing is make sure you use the ARC ports and that your devices support that. You may have to turn on the CEC control in the menus. I will see if @Trebdp83 can chime in. He’s pretty sharp with that stuff.

My ears were ringing.;) If @Jack N can list all of the devices and the TV/Projector used in the system, I could try and help out. But, as @William Lemmerhirt mentioned, first make sure the AV10’s eARC port is being used to connect to the TV/Projector’s ARC/eARC port.
