Haha me either no space. Looking for a bookcase for my vinyl and wires this week for the JBL.
Hope you get the alone time to blast off!
I'm trying to follow a new rule of only buying speakers that do something "different." As far as a conventional box speaker goes, I'd have to shell out a fortune to best the T&A's, so now I just experiment with other implementations.
The Cambridge towers, Paradigms, and DefTechs are all bipolar speakers, the effect of which I am
loving for 2-channel living room HT. Stepdaughter is going to get the Cambridge's as a gift when she moves out next year.
The Von Schweikert VR-4's had a rear tweeter, but it was more the minimal baffle design that gave them an insane soundstage.
The VR-33's and Allison CD-9's were designed to be placed against the wall and have ultra-wide soundstage (the Allison's did it better).
My next venture will likely be to try some open baffle speakers. Tell you what, there seems to be a lot of pent up demand for Spatial Audio, because any of them that pop up on the used market get sold within days unless they're overpriced.
