Uncalled for. If you are going to tell somebody they ought to stay away from a particular brand, you need to explain why. Otherwise, people are going to be very displeased with you:mad:

Only if it breaks...If you don't break it I think you will be quite happy with them. From what I've seen from other's on this forum, Paradigm doesn't seem to have the best customer service in the world, but I've had my speaker's for a while and they are still perfectly fine and I'm very satisfied and people are always impressed when they hear my system. I don't think you'll be one bit sorry if you get some Paradigm's.

I owned a set of studio 20's v1,60's v2,ccv2,servo 15 v1,20's v3,cc470,cc590 and 20's v4.Not once did I ever regret buying them.

I think that story was an isolated incident. I know some people with Paradigm products and they sound and work great.

One needed to RMA his sub, and it was handled without a problem.

Just because AH doesn't see much love from paradigm doesn't mean they're a bad company.

Congrats, I have had Studio 20's v2 for about five years now and have been very pleased. I even use a 20 for my center. I audition other speakers from time to time, but I just continue to be happy with the 20's.

My experience with Anthem/Paradigm has been conveyed in another thread.

It's not an isolated case.

But here's an interesting quote:

Here's how it goes:

  • Once a year someone posts here detailing Paradigm's outrageously bad customer service
  • Eventually someone from Paradigm gets ahold of this thread, freaks out at the bad publicity, and fixes the problem.
Now, with that said, we don't know all the facts and don't automatically support the user or necessarily believe every detail of every sentence, blah blah blah...

But from what we can see, coupled with their almost paranoid behavior at trade shows, this company gives us 'pause'... actually, it gives us 'stop'.

Eventually, perhaps people will become more informed... Friends don't let friends buy from difficult companies.

I remember complaints about their products and customer service from back in '03 and '04 when I put my current system together. It is not isolated.

If you have a good dealer, you shouldn't have any problems with them. I had one problem with one speaker and though it took longer than I would have liked, it didn't cost me one cent.

Titans are not in the Monitor line.

It's not the Dealers, it's them. Way too many bad and nightmarish experiences to chalk up to bad dealers. It is them.

For the price and quality,Paradigm is at the top of the pack. When I have trouble and get bad service,I might change my mind.

What about all the people without nightmarish experiences? I have been completely satisfied with them in the past and so have many other's. Apparently a friend of Sheep's had an issue with paradigm resolved without any complaint's, but I'm sure nobody heard about that. Of course one person's bad experience is going to get far more attention than one hundred good experience's and that's how it is with anything. Like garcia said, if you have a good dealer you shouldn't have any problems.

TJMV3, If all you are going to do is thread crap every time someone mentions Paradigm, then why don't you do it somewhere else? So you had a bad experience, that doesn't mean you that a company is evil. Buy something else and tell us why you like that or that company... If you would have bought internet direct, you wouldn't be complaining...or would you? Maybe you just like to complain? I don't own any Paradigm products currently, and don't really plan on it in the near future, but they are a solid company with a solid product and I have no problem recommending them.

TJMV3,
I'm not saying you can't say Paradigm is bad or you don't like them or whatever. All i'm saying is that you ought to explain why (put a link to your thread detailing your experience, etc...) otherwise, you look like a troll. I know you have over 100 posts here, but a comment like yours is trollish. I'd say the same thing if you'd said something along the lines of "buy paradigm!!" Without explanation, your comment is useless.

I fully support your right to tell people about your bad experience with a product, but its important to do it right.

I was a little bit hesitant to ask this question to begin with on here. I thank the majority of you for your objective responses. Some people just enjoy bashing companies. Nothin wrong with stating your experience. But that does not mean they should be branded "dont buy". Everyone has bad experience and its fine to speak out about them objectively. But my if dont like or arent supporting or have never used paradigm products or will use them thats your choice. All i wanted to know was how what the new line sounding. Signicant improvement over the last. Mainly intrested in those 2 models mentioned at the outset of my thread. thanks again guys oh and gals dont want to gender biased

I owned Paradigm speakers and an Anthem amp. I speak from direct personal experience.

Whether any of you realize it or not, I am being as objective as anyone could be. When one gets screwed by a comapany, as I did, that's as objective as it gets. Nothing like personal experience in getting screwed by Paradigm/Anthem to slap one wide awake to the reality of a company's policies and duplicitous business practices.

And no, I won't stop posting here. Until someone in an administrative position requests I stop, I will continue. Ironically, someone from an Administrative position has already made his opinions on Paradigm/Anthem very clear, just recently. Yet some people still think I'm trolling or being unobjective. What a joke.

Make all the excuses and justifications you want, but none of your twisting and spinning will ever encourage Paradigm/Anthem to clean up their act. You're just being enablers. This is not simply a few isolated cases. This is a pattern and business practice that's been documented quite well on several audio-related forums and through my own personal experience. As well for two of my friends who also received a good screwing at the hands of Paradigm/Anthem.

Hell, they didn't even buy us dinner and a movie, before the screwing.
