Another fine example that embodies everything that's wrong with this country

Only in this country can you commit a felony (federal tresspassing) and make money off it. $77,000 for a he said/she said testimony....amazing.
Actually, no, not just this country.

I'm pretty sure this would happen in virtually every Western country.

The legal system successfully 'fiddled' while Rome burned.

Out of that Bonanza money, the rancher should be reimbursed for his damages;
the break-in and robbery of his home, and his families emotional distress.
Well, he could sue and/or press charges against the people who actually did damage his property and the people who actually did break in and rob his home.

Yeah, he could expect restitution in the form of what? Beans? Get a grip.

Then who should "reimburse" him for the damages and robbery? The state?

And what do previous break-ins and damage by other people have to do with this particular case? Does a robbery by some illegal immigrant a month ago justify illegal actions taken on a different, unrelated illegal immigrant?

True...
That was always my problem with the federally mandated Affirmative Action programs.
It punished all white males for the sins of a few.:(

Basically now everyone knows that you can't detain illegals.... which leaves a few "other" options. Law of unintended consequences - an unfortunate result of activist judiciary stupidity.

Cat's already out of the bag on this one. Shooting the lawyers isn't really an option so I'm all out of answers yet the questions abound.

From what I understand, you can detain them while awaiting law enforcement.

You can't torture them, assault them, threaten to let your pets eat them, etc. That's my reading of this case, anyway.

What a crock of shyt, the legal system just gave every illegal a green light to enter this country without having to worry about being harshly detained, what the hell is a land owner to do now when he comes across a bunch of illegals, He apparently can't use dogs, weapons or even harsh language anymore. "Scuz me Jose, would you mind kindly if you would just stand still while I call immigration. I realize I can no longer hold you against your will and hope that you will just wait patiently for the officers to show up." PU-LEAZE!!!! Sometimes I think Berlin had a good idea with their wall.

What it tells me is even if you do everything by the letter of the law, all it takes is a couple of them to make allegations and get the support of a immigrate right groups, then you as a U.S citizen are screwed.

The affects of illegal immigration are so far reaching it's unbelievable.

One example - I am on the fund raising committee for a group home in our county that houses mentally-ill adults. These people are of very limited means and without this house would have no where to go but the streets.

About 8 months ago it was discovered that the house is infested with bed bugs. It's been a nightmare trying to get rid of these pests. Over $100K has been spent so far and they still haven't solved the problem. They've had to destroy all the bedding, wood furniture, and clothing.

Three major exterminator chains have had reps in to evaluate and make recommendations. All three have stated the same thing; at one time the bed bug was essentially eradicated from the US, but with the huge influx of illegal immigrants from third world countries, it has been brought back with a vengence. And these pesky critters are almost impossible to get rid of.

So when I hear a story like the one about this guy in AZ who is trying to do the right thing, it makes my stomach churn.
Very interesting.
I've heard similar stories from friends that are in management at one of the Atlantic City casinos.
The same holds true for Tuberculoses, it was all but gone in the U.S., it has now made a resurgence.:(

thats outrageous, get drunk, fall on tracks, get run over, and collect big.
Yeah, and here we are as a nation pissed off with the people that keep this country's agriculture industry standing (the only reason the produce we buy is affordable is because of migrant labor, well documented and researched FACT) and mad at irresponsible borrowers who now can't afford their homes (when the real source of the problem was overvaluation of securities which had nothing to do with the homeowner and everything to do with the executives now running Execs Gone Wild on our tax dollars)...

If only the Native Americans had thought of that before Europeans came here...

So bed bugs only exist in countries outside of the US... I'm not even going to begin on this one. =)

Blame falls equally on the person going after the loans. That reminds me of a something my uncle told me that happened right after alot of the hurricane Katrina victims moved to Houston and got the prepaid Lone Star Debit cards to help them out. The banks literally got dozens of people wanting to purchase half million dollar homes, luxury cars, and what-not, most without jobs or even any kind of savings to say they can pay back those loans. One guy even threw a fit and they had to call the police b/c he wanted a car loan for a new Escalade and tried using the money (Texas gave him) in his debit card as down payment.

Of course Chase turned them all down, but that proves it, some people are just that dumb.

I don't think that was what Rush was saying at all.

It's sad when one is so blinded by their ideology that it even effects their reading comprehension.
Rush29 clearly mentioned "Third World Countries" His quote is below:

Three major exterminator chains have had reps in to evaluate and make recommendations. All three have stated the same thing; at one time the bed bug was essentially eradicated from the US, but with the huge influx of illegal immigrants from third world countries, it has been brought back with a vengeance. Where do you get off going on a rant toward a new member?
He happened to share an opinion on a topic that he has first hand knowledge of; he is obviously providing for others less fortunate. Was he not politically correct enough for you?

I've sent a pm to Rush29, and he further explained that he and others are 'un-paid' volunteers at this charitable group home.
He further stated that because of the bed bug problem all of the furnishings had to be destroyed and replaced, on top of the costly extermination. Because of this problem, the organization is virtually out of funds.
