Also it's proven technology, although D class amps are looking mighty fine cheers BTW, did you win the lottery or something

Those old Parasound amps and preamps really give you a bang for your buck. I read somewhere that the new Parasounds sound somewhat different than the old ones. I would give that Parasound a try if I were you. 250 watts/channel is plenty of power to drive a pair of consumer grade speakers to ear bleeding levels.
