Greetings,
I would like to know if my cell phone, LG V20, is compatible with an amp and/or DAC. Someone told me, like the IPOD has, I need a line out to bypass my phone's amplifier and DAC.
Thank you for any help,
Christopher

This will depend on the amp and/or DAC. You can use wi-fi and bluetooth to bypass phone's DAC and "amp", but the unit you're connecting it to must be able to receive this signal.

I had experience with an LG phone being to quiet over the 3.5 jack. I connected it with 3.5 going to two RCA, like this:

But, for some reason, it was barely audible. I even tried to go through different inputs to see if there's anything wrong with the connection, but no. I guess signal must have been weak or something wasn't right with that phone.

I think wireless might solve your problems.

Any DAC or AVR/Intergrated with usb input should do it. What gear are you currently using?

What I was asking is what do you currently have them phone connected to? What is your goal? Ie listening in office, living room, portable? What's going budget? Most all AVRs have usb input now so that connection is easy. While some Intergrated amps are now coming with on board DACs, they tend to be a bit more expensive. If your looking for portable that's a whole another set of questions.
