USA made Audio Equipment

The three classic American-made speaker brands, that are still going strong:
1. Magnepan
2. Ohm
3. Vandersteen

All well made, great sounding speakers - and great value...
Thanks for taking the time and effort to list those companies, it helps people like me who are interested in American made items. I've been working on a site for the past 3 years listing companies who make all kinds of stuff here in the USA, currently I've come up with just over 3000 listings...and I've just added 3 more thanks to you.

In case anyone is interested you can find the 3 companies I added today along with others listed here: USA made Audio Equipment

And if you or anybody else knows of others just reply back with the names and I'll get them included.

Bamberg Audio is another company you can add to your "Made in the U.S.A" list. I just, I mean just, spent 45 minutes on the phone with Mr.Bamberg and he is incredibly generous with his time.
Also, he is in Indiana...:D

Why towers? How about a set of Sierra 1's with the matching center and a set of stands, rite now they have a set of piano black Bstock all 3 speakers for under $1200 {still has the 7 year warranty} then get a nice set of stands, there are some awesome stands out there.... But if you are crossing to a sub, and pushing 100watts per channel of say 100hz+ the sierra ones will do that with IMO a better sound than a tower... I noticed when I went to a tower I liked the sound of a tighter cabinet, I finally found the 340's and the matching stands {look like towers, but really a large bookshelf} and I am happy with the sound.. Not sure why bookshelfs sound better but to me they do, I was told it has to do with the cabinet space and resonance, all of which I haven't a clue, just know that if you dont need low response because you have a sub, then you can get a higher end bookshelf and your money is going to what you want... In other words a $1000 pair of bookshelfs and a sub sound better than a $2000 pair of towers {to me, we are all different...}

good luck...
