The long arm of the law just seems a little shorter today, well at least you are breathing a sigh of relief about the retaliation part, good ending.
You never really had to worry, that guy would crap his pants when 30 plus pissed off AH'ers came rolling in. :D
30 a/v geeks going after a known criminal...that's priceless!:D

I could even the playing field greatly, I'm only a/v geeky by second nature.I am off the deep end firstly not a known criminal, but certainly not mild mannered and not even close to tame. Why I think I just might be a pugilist.;)
I'll be back later I'm a gonna go crack the neighbor one, his dog is barking again.

:eek::D

Why do you care if someone parks there? You don't own the street dude.

I dunno, I kinda thought the same thing at first, but maybe there's some unwritten code in that neighborhood that the curb in front of everyone's house is for their parking only. I've seen that in other places. Hey, I'm not judging. *shrug*

I doubt there would have been an issue if it was a new Ferrari or Porsche. The problem was that it was an eyesore parked in front of the home he has spent lot's of money, blood, sweat and tears to make beautiful.
I wouldn't be happy about it either.

Nor does the other guy own the street, either.

I could be wrong, bit I think simply leaving it there for days on end is what set him off rather than it being a hoopty. I know it would me.

It is an unwritten code. I mean we pay money to the HOA and follow rules and regulations to keep our neighborhood nice. Each house has a 2 or 3 car garage and enough space to park 2 or 3 more cars in the drive. You are not allowed to leave your garage door open. Parking in the street is discouraged but they can't enforce it.

What got me hot was the fact that the neighbor had no cars in his garage and one car in his drive yet he had to leave a car in front of my house for 5 days.

I think we can both agree though that you would have thought the neighborhood was plenty nice if it was a 575 Maranello or a Murcielago LP640 parked at your curb. :)

How about a truck full of beer?:D
Not with the TABC around. he would have been drug out of his house and taken to jail for some minor drinking from the truck parked in front of his house.

And in Texas you don't retaliate against someone unless you want your butt shot. We are a pro gun state for a reason. Plus we got enough ex-military around that you might get a Gran Torino-Clint Eastwood type in your neighborhood.

It reminds me of a guy that wanted to steal from some friends of ours. He was slowly driving around the neighborhood scouting out the houses. When their neighbor practicing for a Swat competition repelled out of the tree in full gear.

We Never saw that car again.:D

I would have swapped license plates with him at that point...

I think that missed the point entirely. Dawg you have no need to justify anything (even to yourself). Everyone knows that you don't leave your vehicle parked in front of someone else's house over an extended period of time. Especially if it is a high dollar car. And the reason for that is....if a window got broken or tires flattened or paint stripper poured on it, or radio stolen, who would he go to first? YOU!!

My brother (who was a cop at the time) had an officer from another dept. as a roommate. A similar situation happened to them and his roommate chained the vehicle up to his 4x4 and dragged it about a block down the road screeching the tires the whole way. If fact I am sure that afterward it was like driving on blocks after that.:)

Point is that even after you tried knocking on the door, you still took a higher road than most of us would have.
