NOTE:

We are changing our format just a bit for a variety of reasons...not the least of which is the physical challenge of A/B'ing 8 pairs of speakers (28 combinations!).

Pre-SESSION Measurements ... will be made to determine any measurably significance, on and off-axis, of the screening material.

SESSION 1 ... will be a detailed, blinded audition of the 8 pairs of speakers.

SESSION 2 ... will be an identical to Session 1 with the same drive equipment and music, but with speakers revealed.

SESSION 3 ... will be an informal A/B session, unblinded, no guided report forms (the other sessions do have them), with pairings at the request of the auditioners.

Slacking Off

I would have figured some early pictures should be coming out about now. Some of the speakers should be arriving early.

Yep...they've started to arrive. But don't get those panties in a bunch. :D We're going to have sultry pics of each of them in the results posts. The Salk 1801's pics were sent by Jim Salk, so we teased with those early. ;) (BTW, Joe says the photos don't do them justice!) I haven't even seen them, yet.

You'll be able to reach me in Brazil after this event.

Sure wish you were coming out, Dave.

Time is drawing near...and this week we've received some of the prettiest and nicest sounding speakers to hit the NW. We can't wait to share our auditions and photos with you.

Also, a bit of good news...one of our event surprises has been verified. We're honored to be seeing and hearing the very first pair of a new monitor model from at least one company's pilot production run. Can't spill the beans quite yet, though. And there may yet be more to come.......:D

Stay tuned.

I hope you brought enough pink flip-flops for everyone. :D
I don't think they'd know what to do with flip-flops in Oregon.

But there is enough room in Joe's house for a Twister mat.

Aren't those like a socialist politicians that used to be a libertarians? :D
It's the New Right for Avatar loving Trekkies that aren't 100% down with the Prime Directive.

This is the California Chapter. Don't let them in. :p

What's going on over there already? HEY !!! We're waiting for pics! :)

All right....here's one of our prototypes. :D

And technically, this one doesn't qualify as a "stand" mount.

3d annual meeting at Lincoln city

I just joined the audio forum but would like to attend the Lincoln City meeting on September 18, 2010. I live within a reasonable driving distance on the coast but don't know where it is located or the time. Could someone let me know this information or is the meeting closed to new members?

I just got my first glance at 5 of the 8 pairs of speakers.:eek::eek::eek::eek:

I think I'm....in love....and I don't know with whom. So much beauty. So little money. :(

just listening

Huge applause for the type of format being run. By avoiding picking of the best and instead focusing on the qualities of each, listeners should be more relaxed and enjoy the experience.

Sorry that my business schedule doesn't allow me to plan for visiting clients in Portland. It would have been nice to put faces to names.

Time is mighty short, ted. If you're interested in attending, you must let me know today. Thanks.
