Weights & Dacs...
^ Agreed.
So, I was saying:
1. The 607 weights 23.8 lbs
2. The 707 weights 27.7 lbs
3. The 807 weights 39.7 lbs (But it might be 37.1 lbs, according from another source.)
And:
1. The 805 weights 50.9 lbs, and uses five (5) TI* Burr-Brown PCM-1796a Dacs (stereo dac).
* Texas Instruments.
2. The 806 weights 37.5 lbs, and uses four (4) Crystal** CS 4398 Dacs (stereo dac).
** Cirrus Logic.
3. The 807 weights 39.7 (or 37.1) lbs, and uses one (1) TI* Burr-Brown PCM-1690 Dac (8-channel, or multichannel dac), which is the same Dac used in the 707.
>>> Now, I can really get down to it, with all the DSP chips serial #s, how many of them in each of these receivers, the serial # of each video processor, the serial # of the Op-Amps (Operational Amplifiers), the serial # of the chip that control the volume control, the serial # of the Passive CMOS switches, Onkyo own custom chips for various specific operations, including the one used for Zone 2 and 3 Volume & tone functions (analog domain), the chip used in the Phono section, as well in the Headphone Amp section, the make and serial #s of the complementary devices (OT; Output Transistors), the value in MicroFarads (uF) for their primary block capacitors (Caps), and the full enchilada with a zillion more technical parts of operation from the Audio (analog and digital), Video (analog and digital), Preamp and Power Amp sections (remember, it's my job to know these things), but,... I just won't.
What else is new? Network? Ya right.
-> I'll keep these two, separated from my Home Theater Room, thank you very much,
and you're very welcome, see you next year at Christmas time.
