I think the earlier Crossroads DVD was better, but they are both killer IMHO.

I had a similar problem with my Outlaw audio 770 amp transformers howling. I remedied it by removing any fluorescent lighting from the same room. It's as quiet as can be now.:) Kelly

I errored on the 790's weight, it is 145 lbs not 125 lbs. The smallest breakers in my home are 20 amp. My house wiring is up to the task! I think the wife might still be an obstacle? :confused:

I get the same sounds when I power down my system. I have my two main speakers passive bi-amped. My thoughts are that the sound you hear with your system is fine. It won't hurt a thing.;)

I think that you have a problem with the 5.1 direct inputs. Either from the Toshiba XA2 player or where they connect at the 1050. Check to insure that the 5.1 is oriented correctly and the connections have not come loose? Hope this helps?
