I guess it's case by case, when using a reciever as a pre-pro. I use my Yamaha RX-V2200 as a pre-amp and it never gets hot when using it as a pre-amp only. Is the RX-V2600 a class A up to 5 or 10 watts? It might be something to do with the circuitry that allows variable amplifier assignment...

I have an Outlaw 770 7 channel amp. I am using a Yamaha RX-V2200 (6.1 channel) as a pre-amp only. I'm only using 6 of the 7 channels on the amp. Is this in any way harmfull to the 7 channel amp? Cheers, Surveyor

I saw CREAM live when I was young. I felt at that time that they were about as good as any of the competition then! The three togeather could still probably hold their own jamming with many of today groups. Glad there is someone else who enjoyed the concert! Cheers, surveyor :)

Sheep, I run my mains as large as they are truly full range speakers. I have currently got my mains set to large and my center set to small. Thanks for the quick reply!
