One thing I noticed when searching for a sub was that I didn't find many smaller subs that would reach below 30Hz. I'd love to add a ML sub to my system but I'd have to question myself as to whether I could do just as well w/o paying ML prices.

I've had pretty good luck getting discounts at Magnolia. Timing is everything though. I've seen them offer some of their high dollar stuff @ 30-40%. Most of the time that applies to demo's, but it never hurts to ask or just make them an offer.

Do you have, or have you had, a progressive scan DVD player hooked up via component cbls? Picture OK? If so, it may be a faulty STB...........you didn't mention if the tech swapped out the unit to eliminate that possibilty.
