exactly! the laws of diminishing returns happens much quicker with audio gear than it does with cars. Hence it should b/c cars are far more complex and expensive to produce.

Not really. Drive a Honda Accord then drive a BMW 550i (Which is under $100k). Nothing arguable about that and very easy to measure performance differences on a track.

A $25k Sedan will NEVER outperform or drive more comfortably than a $150k Sedan though....

I highly recommend setting the E55ti main channels to large and keep the crossover on your receiver to 80Hz with all other speakers set small. The E55's do well running fullrange with a nice natural rolloff below 60Hz. I suspect you will get better bass response overall with the mains large...

there are definitely pros and cons to it. Pros - usually better bass response compared to passive tower, takes up less space than separate towers and subs Cons - bass modules can't be optimally located in the room and usually aren't up to the same level of performance as dedicated powered...

We were told by the Revel rep that only the demo pair had the actual drivers. The other speakers had dummy drivers for display only. Yes regardless they look like great speakers.

I don't think the pics from CES are of the real drivers. Those were mock ups. Stay tuned for the official product pages on their site.

Thanks I found the 2 typos for Velodyne and fixed it. All last years tests are there too. Tab2 has 3 of the 4 tests Paul did. I kept Josh's tests for Rythmik instead b/c it was tested for multiple modes.
